Everytime i check out the DVD sales charts, it invariably says something like:

1-shrek 3
2- transformers widescreen
3-ratatouille
4-oceans 13
5- shrek 3 pan and scan
6 -transformers special edition
7 - oceans 13 directors cut
8 - Transformers-super duper edition
etc...

why cant they add the sales of all the variations of the SAME stinking movie together, so we can see which movie really sold the most.

so if there is only one version of movie 'x' and 4 versions of movie 'y'; if you added up the sales of all those'y' would total more than 'x'

now you throw in HD-DVD and Blu-ray. AHHHHH. this drives me crazy, is there an online petition i can sign?

Does this bother anyone else when looking at sales charts for DVD sales?

I agree with what your saying...plus I didn't think shrek 3 was all that great and I couldn't get through ratatouille because I kept falling asleep.

shrek 3 was a pretty weak sequel...so was pirates 3, and spidey 3 for that matter...what happened to 3rd times a charm?

Yes Oceans 13 was the best of the series..Spiderman 3 was ok, but comical in certain parts, and I never saw Pirates 3. I think every version of a movie, whether it be widescreen or fullscreen should be on the list once. Otherwise as in the list you showed, a couple movies take over the entire list and leave out some other fine movies.
