So I was bored, looking around on youtube and found a ton of strange things... and saw a few clips of the upcoming Batman Dark Kinght trailers and photos

And looking at the Joker...

Im not very pleased... he looks too much like Beetlejuice. The Joker may be a psychopath, but he is very degnified. Dressed rather sharp if I do say so myself.

He looks cool, but just not what I'd hoped he would look like.

I think it has a lot to do with most of us remembering Jack Nicholson as Joker in the first Batman movie (not counting the older Batman Movie when Adam West was Batman such a loonnnngggg time ago) and this just looks different. I have to admit that I was and still am a little skeptical with Heath Ledger playing Joker. I think it will be more of a younger Joker than we're used to. In those pictures he looks more demented or darker than what we normally think Joker as but we'll have to see when the movie comes out. Batman Begins is still my favorite of all the Batman movies.
you also have to remember that this is the joker in his younger days. he's "the psychotic, unpredictable Clown Prince of Crime...the Joker." while Jack Nicholson will always be Joker to me, I think this is a look into his character before he became the sophisticated, sharply dressed Joker we all know and love. that being said, i agree with you that he looks terrible. I don't think i've ever seen the Joker in my mind looking like the slob he's portrayed as in the upcoming movie. although, he did look that way a few times when he'd been roughed up. but the mouth? no...sorry...that just completely ruins the character for me. Nicholson had the perfect mouth to become the Joker, but this time...that red...ugh.

idk what to think of it. Batman Begins was great, but it messes with the backstory. this one is gonna do the same thing, and it makes me a little sad. but, i won't complain too much unless it completely ruins Joker. if he's killed off, or if he doesn't turn into the well-dressed Joker of the comics and Nicholson's portrayal, then im going to be very disappointed. BUT that won't make me any less of a Batman-obsessed freak.
i think the point of the new joker is to show that he's not pretty. if you think about it, joker wasn't really "dignified" or well mannered or anything like that. he was completely insane. he was psychotic. sometimes a psycho in a suit works and comes off really creepy and scary, but the joker isn't that kind of character. he snapped after the chemical accident and completely lost it. he used to be the kind of criminal to wear a suit, so he still wears one, but he's also completely off his rocker, so he would try to look distinguished, but fail horribly. the new look kind of follows that.

the hair ... yeah, i'm a little skeptical too. it doesn't quite fit. something needs to be adjusted on it, but the idea that he's not spending 3 hours a day in the bathroom making himself look pretty is more fitting for a super-villian, especially a psychotic one. the mouth is pretty odd, but again, they're not wanting to go for a pretty villian. the new batman is taking things down a darker, more twisted route. things aren't going to be pretty.
joker is the first clown im not afraid of believe it or not

anyways im not digging the "look" of him in this movie either. too much like a mix between a makeup job after a one night stand [the 4AM walk of shame] and the crow with the black eyes.

however i do get that whole "jack nicholson" vibe from the first batman just like everyone mentioned above me......god i had the worlds BIGGEST crush on michael keaton.....
LOL

The look I can tolerate.

I just wanna know if he can act the part.
