Unfortunately it means I will likely have less free time since I'll be gaming and writing reports 40 hours per week, then animating in what little free time that I do have. The rest of what's left goes to a nearly nonexistent social life.

I just kind of walked into it and got hooked up... Someone sent me a bunk job lead, I talked to them for a while and they happened to have the tester job looking to be filled.

Today was my first day actually and it was really cool.

I never really put much thought into all the problems games have before they see the end result...It's crazy, plus the protocol you have to follow when testing and writing the reports is very tedious in many cases.

Right now I'm testing Crash Bandicoot for mobile phones, and you would not believe all the bugs it has!

how much u get paid. and how old do u have to be
At least 18 and the base rate starts at $15/hr
Better than my pay!

any pre requisites?

You don't really need any prerequisites... Having programing knowledge, good grammar, spelling, and punctuation along with an eye for detail and plenty of gaming experience is a huge plus though Smile

While working there you wind up learning all the different forms of certification that we test to authenticate for developers who publish apps on the Verizon network.
i think they should target ppl who r at least 16 years old. ppl around that age will be the ones buying these games.

Well it has nothing to do with whether the games are marketable to young people at all... There's a whole lot more writing up issues and errors than anything. You wouldn't believe some of the glitches and crap games that I've seen in only 4 days...

All we are paid to do is in essence, "Break" the game. We have to basically play through every scenario to make the software crash or do something it shouldn't that way the devs can fix it.

Nice job, i'm jealous now. >_>
