Brawl Community. The tournament begins on May 9th, 2008 central 6:30 PM, Mountain standard 5:30 PM, Eastern 7:30 PM, Pacific 4:30.

wouldn't you have to wait until everyone has the game before you could hold a tournament? Not everyone can get it on February 10th...

right. PAL isnt getting it until Q3 2008 at the earliest.

The tournament isn't taking place until April 19th, 2008. That gives everyone plenty of time to get the game.

Except PAL people who aren't modding + importing.

Like I said before it is early, but I wan't to let people know about the tourney earlier, so they can be better prepared. If some of you don't want to join until the game is out, that is fine.

I guess I'll play.

anyone is welcomed to join, this tourney is taking place betweem five forums inclueding this one. This tourney will start with each seperate forum playing each other in pools, that I will assign. The top three out of each pool will go to bracets, once you are eliminated in a series your done. The top 5 players out of each forum will go to the finals bracet. There might be a prize for the first place winner. Everyone can choose a main character, and can only have one second.

That sounds kind of annoying. I like having free choice of character.

I guess I could make in exception for you, most everyone else is just going to use two or one character.

Okay, well tentatively I'm in then. I'm modding my Wii in January then importing SSBB if all goes as planned so I should be able to participate.

I'm just somewhat confused by how it'll work. We'll be placed in pools, then the top 5 move into a bracket. Single or Double Elimination?

It will be double elimination in the finals bracets, but single in the bracets before. How pools will work is like this, The people in the same pool will exchange friend codes for brawl. You don't have to exchange friend codes with everyone in the tourny, just the people you are going to play. If you don't make it out of pools, your done.

Alright, cool. Just wanted to clarify that. Count me in. I'll let you know if something comes up, but I'm 90% sure that I'm in.
