I'm not worried at all...

The Wii has a hell of an established client base now. WiiWare will be delivered to us all, SSBB and MKWii, WiiFit, and all the other stuff that will be coming out that may or may not be known to the general masses will hit.

Between the casuals and the hardcore gamers it'll do just fine.

For a while I thought I would be getting a 360 or a PS3 as well but now things are changing. I'm starting to see myself as a casualcore gamer of sorts I guess one could say. Maybe because I am approaching the end of my early 20's? I love a good game I can get into for hours, however with all the other stuff I have to worry about taking care of in the world I don't have that much time for it. The Wii has titles I can spend hours on, plus a big chunk of games and channels that can be spent playing for as little as 10 minutes, so it covers all the ground I'm looking to cover in a virtual world. Any other time occupied in virtual space is either at work or surfing the web, so there is no sense in dropping the money on an outrageously priced electronic toy that will get just as much if not less attention than my Wii.

If they can release Mario Kart and Smash Bros next year, I wont be too worried. There will always be hidden surprises, and this coming year will be the 3rd generation of games for the wii. I'm guessing that will improve controls and programming by 3rd parties.

2nd Generation of Nintendo Franchises will be out, we have had Mario and Metroid and maybe next year Star Fox, kirby and animal crossing we will have to wait and see.

Johnny boy get your ass into GAME and buy yourself a Wii-box!

And I'm really getting excited about Mario kart Wii if I'm honest.

Why not, it's really the other big 08 title from Nintendo that we know about and it's online. What's not to like...

Don't think I will be that much into to be honest, don't get me wrong it's a must play but I will have to try before even considering purchase..

People still havn't completed Zelda? Did you get your Wii on launch?

i WAS concerned about the wiis future, not anymore, as i know that the flood of crappy games lately have been coming from developers rushing back to nintendo because of their sales, the developers are now BOUND to take their sweet time and money to make a good game now, just look at up and coming games like disaster :day of crisis and sadness...and maybe project hammer will come back.


and with the bonous of the always amazinf first part games, mario,zelda,metroid,starfox etc. the wii may be having a very good 2008 year. thos it may look dim at the moment, its gonna look bright in the future

yea i did get my wii on launch. im ashamed to say i havent beat zelda yet

2 good 1st party games, and a flood of crappy 3rd party games does not equal a good year for Nintendo Wii owners, but how can we say that we didn't see it coming? I mean look at 2007.

it does look kinda lean in '08, maybe that will change as the year progresses

i have plenty of '07 games to pick up til then, so i will be okay, but i feel the pain of the more hardcore gamer

I'm looking forward to the idea of bringing a Kirby game and a Star Fox game out. Especially Star Fox. But whoah, Mariokart IS a must buy!

yea ssbb and mkwii will tide me over until either animal crossing wii or the new tales of symphonia game come out

I'm the same. SSBB and Mariokart wii should hopefully keep me going until Animal Crossing wii; and hopefully until some other surprise games yet too.
