like how many minutes?
First of all, is there anything I can say that would talk you out of buying that camera?

Sooo many people buy them, and then toss them because they really are crap. They are like a portable webcam. You might as well use the camera on your cell phone. If you still want one, just make sure your expectations are correct. You aren't going to get "professional" print with this, and if you try to record, you have to hold very, very, very still, lest it will be blurry.

As for how many minutes, well, a good amount, but I'm pretty sure that 2GB is all that it will hold at a time (it doesn't say SDHC compatible), but it's not big deal cause 2GBs are like $15 nowadays. I would normally urge you to pick up high speed cards, but I'm not sure this camera needs them.

Also, you do know this camera is sold out online and in stores, right? It has been discontinued it appears.

Just about any "camcorder" that uses SD cards will not have good quality. I'm pretty sure it's just from the technical limitations of the SD card, considering it's data transfer (but again, I'm not certain). Either way, different cameras will record different amounts that can vary greatly just due to the quality of the picture and the encoding that they use. What exactly are you wanting to do with it? You might be better off with an inexpensive film camera that you then convert.

You're absolutely right, and that's why I'd question the quality of this device. SD cards have low seek/write rates, (and aren't meant to be used in a real-time manner, Solid state storage isn't there yet), which makes me think it turns out real crap for a video file.
