remake of a remake... still excelllent. i havent seen it... yet.

Sorry to bring negativity to this thread but some of you have got to be kidding me. I thought this movie was so-so at best. I do admit that I really enjoyed Will Smith in this movie and I feel he gave one of his best performances in it. I just want to clarify that I never saw the previous movie or read the book and had no idea what this movie was about. It reminded me of "iRobot", which I actually like and Resident evil, which I don't like so much. The robots have been replaced by zombies, yes they are zombies. Let's see, they are mindless, crave flesh/blood/brains, and all look basically the same. They are a bit smarter and a lot stronger and agile than zombies but not much different. I don't know why but I couldn't bring myself to like this movie no matter how great Will Smith was in it.

I read the story..sounds like Resident evil, just with a new type of attack. lol.

But Will Smith FTW

I saw it a few days ago and I will say that its good but far from great. Will Smith's acting is top-notch as usual but there is nothing spectacular here. Some of the events in the movie don't make much sense either. I thought it was too short as well. Interesting story though.

And speaking of noticing things they added as a look into the near future, did anyone notice the big movie poster with the Superman symbol on top the batman logo? I thought that was pretty funny.

Theres supposed to be a sequel.

I thought it was good, the ending seemed short though. Overall i am glad i watched this movie, i didn't even realize how popular it was.

what are the monsters that he hides from at night? (i havent seen the movie yet)

didnt they take a cancer vaccine and the side effects made them zombie-vampires?

It may be early marketing by WB for Batman v.s. Superman.

thats what i thought...and that's what's been turning me off from wanting to watch it. sure, will smith's acting, from what you're all saying, is great. but thats about the only thing you guys have said that interests me about the movie.

not to mention that it got a lower rating than alvin and the chipmunks from one of my sources...and i refuse to see that movie and its defiling of my childhood memories, which makes me want to see I Am Legend even less.

This was a good movie I'd say. It's not the best I've ever seen but it was satisfying. I think Will Smith does an incredible job; the story is really interesting as well. But, it was rather short, a few things didn't make much sense, you kinda had to fill in a few things yourself but it wasn't a lot of stuff. Overall it's a hell of a good movie.

I watched it yesterday. It's a great film, and Will Smith does a surprisingly good job, but sadly it gets crap about two-thirds of the way through. And those CGI monster things look crap.

Terrible. Too short, dumb plot to an apparently great book. Way too many noise effects, over-exaggerated effects. Trying to make us feel emotional over nothing.

Well either way, im going to see this film in about an hour.

I'm off to go and see this film in an hour too.

a, agree, this is a stellar movie, i enjoyed every second of it, i wouldnt mind going back to the theater and seeing it agian.

so sad when sam the dog dies...and will is singing in a sad voice (three little birds) by bob marley.

i reccomend this movie to any movie fanatics out there

The ending was terrible.

This movie was amazing! It's so jumpy though! But the ending was pathetic.

Haha, all three of us were like "where is the ending?" "WTF". lol.
