I have had a wii for a year now, and the only game I have for my younger 7 year old brother is wii sports. As we all know, we sports is a novelty, and can only satisfy someone for so long. The last time i saw him playing the wii was a couple of months ago. I tried to get him into Zelda, but the puzzles got in his way.
Now it is Christmas, a perfect time to get him a new game to play. I know that i am going to get Mario and Metroid, and i already own zelda (along side with RE4) So those games are already out of the way. Now i need to find a GOOD game to get him, and i only have 7 days left. Anyone have any suggestions?
PS: I only get good games usually with a score of at least 8, so don't throw in ice age because it is marketed to his age level.
Thanks all, i will tell you what game i will be getting him after i see your suggestions.
Games I'm thinking of so far:
Lego Star wars Complete Saga
Warioware smooth moves
Wiiplay would probably satisfy a seven year old for a while, plus you get that extra wiimote. Warioware would probably be the better choice to go with though, offers ALOT of fun and laughs.
Lego star wars all the way
Battalion Wars 2 maybe (their's a bit of strategy involved), WarioWare would be good, and even Link's Crossbow Training would be good for him. And if you get the zapper I would suggest Resident Evil: The Umbrella Cronicles.
I would definitely say no to Battalion Wars II, it seems too strategic.
I'd say Mario Party 8. Kids absolutely love that game and it would be fun for all the family
Wario Ware.... Nah... I have it, and kids tend to "not get it".

Really? I played against 12 people at school in my science class. Alot of them have the attention span of an ant and the brains of a seven year old.
I think he could handle the game ok...Either way its bags of fun.
Really? You had a Wii in school? That is so badass, how?

How many kids came to your house to play, Cosmic?
A big no to battalion wars and RE:UC.
Mario party received mediocre scores but you will both enjoy it thoroughly. He may also enjoy;
Warioware
Carnival
Spyro
EA Playground
Rayman Raving rabbits<--Recommended
Table tennis maybe, if he understands the controls well enough he will enjoy

Last week of term, for some reason school wasn't to bothered. It should be happening again sometime this week. Taking Wii to lessons is fun. Very much fun when the younger students try begging to play it with us. Lol.
Passing the controller around 12 people infront of a projecter is quite fun.
I was looking over games and then i saw medal of honor heroes 2 witch didn't do so bad in reviews, and people had some good things to say in the user reviews. I know that he really like star wars battlefront, and i let him play some halo, witch he liked a lot.
What do you guys think about medal of honor heroes, it has the arcade mode that he could play to get used to the shooting, and then could go single player, after that i can show him online since there isn't any voice on it.
If he is into World War 2 shooters then he might like it. If not, he might find it quite repetitive fast.

Ah...now you bring FPS into the equation rather than the stereo type 'child games'
Medal of heroes controls are said to be the best there is, they can be adjusted. If you spend some time with him on the game to get him up and running you may have a hidden gem here. It is also a game you will really enjoy.

I'd definitely love to see a 7 year old pwning taking out Nazis

O and he will since i just went out and got it for him, but if someone suggest a better game i can just take it back.
7 or 8 years old, I'd have to say either Wario Ware or Rayman (1 or 2, take your pic but 1 is easier than 2 imo)
Battalion wars, Zelda, Pokemon, Wario Ware, Rayman, Wii play......
WiiPlay- Great choice, keeps him occupied.
Warioware- Very entertaining!
Lego Star Wars- No doubt! Great game for all ages!
Battalion Wars 2- Too complex
Link's Crossbow Training- Possibly, not the best choice
Umbrella Cronicles- Nah. Far too violent and bloody for him being 7 years old (IMO), maybe for you though.
Mario Party 8- Little kids seem to gravitate towards Mario Party games, he'd be hooked on this one.
Zelda- A bit too hard for him, plus you said he didn't really like it
Pokemon- Would be good if he's already a fan of the series, if not start with a handheld game instead.
Rayman- Both would be pretty good.
Hope this helps.

What about Excite Truck, it's a great simple racer that's fun to play and you can even add your own music via SD card. It should be cheaper now that's been out for a year and it wasn't exactly a best seller. It got reviews around an 8 though.
Guitar Hero III.
Start 'em early.

i reccomend rayman raving rabids 2 because it looks like a childs game and mario party 8 although hed probably have u play with him alot im not sure how much ud want to do that but if ur a great brother then u should have no problem
