Hi guys! Here's a new thread in which you will give me suggestions, and I will try them out and report back to you! What kind of suggestions, you ask? Well let me explain:
Today while Christmas shopping with my fiance, we decided to get ourselves some presents too. Among them? A DEEP FRYER! HELL YES!
I am asking you, the good folks of WiiLoaded to tell me things to deep fry! I will fry them, try them, and let you know if it gets the "HNB Seal of Approval!"
The items don't necessarily have to be food, though it would be nice on me AND the deep fryer if they were (I'd imagine polyester fibers getting on the heating elements would be bad for it, and I'd rather not eat a t-shirt).
Also, while you're in here, if you have any good recipes that involve deep frying, lay 'em on! I pretty much plan to start frying everything so the more variety the better! I especially look forward to homemade doughnuts! Mmm... doughnuts!

Seriously, you HAVE to try deep fried twinkies. Make sure you use the right batter though, the wrong batter will just melt them away.

So I had a chance to give it a test run today--Nothing big, I just fried up some french fries and some dino nuggets (ie, what happens when you go to costco
they're like chicken nugget things) and HOLY CRAP I'm in love with it! Best investment EVER! The fries tasted like I got them at a restaurant--FTW!
Right now I'm preparing the ingredients for deep fried ice cream! That'll be awesome!
Unfortunately I'm going to be traveling from Sunday till Thursday, so my deep frying plans will have to be postponed a bit. But when I get back WATCH OUT! If it can fit in the basket, I'll try to fry it!

You batter it, then super freeze it so it gets really hard. I made balls of vanilla ice cream, put them back in the freezer, then a few hours later rolled them in egg whites, then in crushed cinnamon toast crunch and honey bunches of oats with cinnamon and sugar, then back in the egg whites, then back in the cereal, then froze them overnight.
Then you fry them for only like 15 seconds.
I fried them like an hour ago--SOOOOO good!!!!!

the japanese resteraunt i frequently go to makes both of those.....dude, you have to share the deserts! i mean im a fat kid ill always be one even though im half the size of what i used to be! i will NEVER EVER EVER!!! be able to finish one of those because its so rich and heavy. i always share it with my bf whos 40X bigger than i am! lmao!!! needless to say the portion may not be "big" [typical slice for pie] but with the batter and the fact that they slather it in chocolate/rasberry sauce? Oh My GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
