I already have a wii but I want an Xbox  360 aswell. But i need advice...

Should i get one?
If so which one?

I know this sounds REALLY stupid but I'm not interested in having online, i can always play online on my wii, i just want one to play on my own Smile

So i was thinking, since I'm not interested in playing online, should I just get the Arcade version? It's only £150 in Gamestation, would the Arcade console be the right one for me if I'm not interested in online?

PLEASE HELP!

Thanks Smile x
Well while walking round town with you, I never realised that the Arcade 360 could be an easy option for you. Ino your not into the whole online thing so this could be a great idea. Just buy one of those memory cards to go in the front of your 360 and your fine. But before possible making a bad buy considering your gaming style. You could look around the GAME and Gamestation site and see if there is enough games that you like.

Right off the bat I know you would love Viva Pinata. You freak out while playing Gears so that isn't the best idea. Your best bet is just to look around and see what takes your fancy.
Thanks Snake Big Grin

That's probably the best game advice I've ever been given Smile

Haha, calm down Nat. Your a bit crazy, lol you smiley freak. I will give you more advice next time I see you

Well, to be honest, I'd skip the Arcade version. As cheap as it is IMO you shouldn't get it. I'd recommend getting the Pro Console, you really can't go wrong.

But, from what I read in Snakes post the Arcade MAY be the best bet for you.

Now, if you just want to play by yourself then I suggest getting:

Oblivion-AMAZING single player game. You really can't go wrong.

Eternal Sonata-Apparently a very engaging RPG.

Mass Effect-Probably one of the greatest RPG's ever.

Bioshock-An incredible first person shooter.

Assassins Creed-This may not be to your liking, but it can be very fun.

Guitar Hero III-While this game can be fun online, it's not it's strongest point, you'd probably like it.

Hope I was helpful. Smile
Hey Nat, Big Grin yea i think that you should get the arcade 360 tbh.
Owning both i would say you have a few things backwards....

360 online is way better than Wii and you can get it free by just remaking a new account each month or pay $55 for a whole year of online...

However if you insist on using it for single player use only I would say Premium not arcade because you can download games on premium with the harddrive.

Also I'm not sure what type of games you like but im guessing RPG's

Mass Effect, Eternal Sonata, Oblivion

and seeing as your a girl i would say check out Viva pinata and Beautiful Katamari

If you wanna get a good shooter for campaign mode i would suggest CoD4 or Bioshock although Bioshock is a bit creepy.

Hope this helps Smile
i'd go with the pro 360 for the HDD. you get 1 free month of xbl, and if you happen to like the xbla games or maybe the movies or shows it offers, it def. wont all fit in the memory card.

if youre into casual arcade games, you could also get the arcade pack for about $20. it comes with 6 xbla games. heres a pic of it:
Well it isn't really having online that is the problem for her. The arcade is only £150 which is pretty cheap. Premium is more, shes just gathering whatever money she can to get this. Considering she already has her laptop as her main christmas present. Even if she had enough to get the premium, she would then have to pay £50 on top of that for the Wireless Network adapter. Then £40 for a years worth of XBL. It would be pointless to buy the adapter and then just use the one free month and then never go online again.

Natalie, Guitar Hero 2 might be a good option aswell. Its not as much as Guitar Hero 3 and loved it while playing at mine. Saves you money right? Blue Dragon may be your type of game also. Its nothing creepy and is quite pleasant to play.
I'd pick up the Xbox 360 Premium Console w/ HDMI Holiday Bundle from walmart for $349

Also make sure your getting one with a falcon chipset...look for this

Make sure the box says the system has a  175w power supply.  Systems without the falcon chipset will be higher and into the 200w+ range.

Been there, done that, got my T-shirt. Wink

If you buy the Arcade version, remember to get a memory card as well since you won't have a harddrive bundled in.

That's the key - if you want Downloadable Content, you must have a harddrive for practical storage purposes. Let that be the deciding factor between Arcade and the next step up.
Using my psychic powers. Nat doesn't care for downloadable content, I could be wrong...
Thanks guys! Big Grin
