There has been much speculation as to the next DS. When will it come out? Would would look? More importantly, How will they make better than the DS Lite. Well some user over at Gametrailers made a 3D animated model of the original concept. I don't know how accurate this is, so take this with a grain of salt.

I like that, I would probably purchase one if that’s what they looked like.

cool concept but i prefer the regular lite one SO much better! i mean if you had the phat one and then skiped the lite and went straight to this compact one id be all for it more than likely....BUT they decided to thin the PHAT one and out came what we have now.

Notice how easily the hings are broken on the DSL?
Now magnify that to 10 other spots, and you've got that "compact" DS.
Which'll fall apart after a few openings and closings.
That and, it doesn't change the DS at all. Maybe if it became an MP3 along with it, etc...

There's nothing wrong with the size of the current DS Lite or button placement. So why make another one? Seems like there are too many sliding panels on the unit for it to last long.
And, there is NO blue colors??? Meh. No thanks. It's bad enough I can't have the Blue DS Lite without spending a fortune.

what about accidental shootings? 
i had my cellphone once at the gun range resting next to my ammo box on the table infront of me.
when i loaded up my magazine, i must of somehow knocked my cellphone down range about 4 feet away and well saw something on the floor and shot it at full auto with an HKMP5.....yeah little did i know it was my samsung a900 for sprint when it first came out! DOH!!!
i cried a little inside.....
anyways, yes deliberate FLINGS are not fun but the occassional whoops always needs to withstand its impacts....just uhm dont shoot at it
