Has anyone got any idea what will plug into the ISDN Expansion Socket on the guitar? Like, has anything plugged into it on previous Guitar Hero games? I couldn't think of anything....
ISDN socket doesn't exist.
It's and RJ-11 I believe (Don't have a GHIII Guitar so I'm guessing here)
Yeah, it's an RJ-11 from what I can tell. Socket protocols are not my strong suit though. :X
As for the use, I have no idea.

Apparently that's what the RJ11 port is for on the controller (was on the wired one, and is also on the wireless, albeit behind a little cover). I think the manual (from the GH2 controller anyway) actually labels it as 'effects pedal port' etc. They're sure takin their time if they still intend it to be used, which you'd assume they do by having it included on the newer controller too
Distortion or phaser pedal would be kickass
Maybe it would replace the whammy bar?
