Yea. Kinda, you don't have to take it, but its highly recommended to get into college. Colleges look at it along with your GPA and such.
Already on the list.
(what'd you get Joker? I can't be asses looking back to my FIRST thread evarrr)
I decided against taking the SAT, and it's been a good decision.
Edit: forgot to give you my advice... Take any practice tests, don't rush yourself, don't forget a calculator. Um... get the SAT question of the day.
Bow down and worship me Mr Admin sir. How do you compare that to the SAT 1600 scale?

33 would be 1460-1500. I would also like to point out that I was 15 when I took the ACT, and I had no idea what it was or why I was taking it
I just thought it was another standardized test.
I took my first test last year. So if this is your first time only thing i can reccommend is that you keep your cool. My first time was a bit rought since i was nervous but i did better than most for my first time. Just bring the needed equipment, eat a good breakfast, and DONT GET NERVOUS! Lol.....but no pressure. They say the SATs get easier as you retry them. I have to take mine soon next year so I can transfer to a decent college. I dont transfer till after next year but its so i can take it over just in case.
Lol. Well its better to be safe than sorry.Worrying about a lousy test is the last thing i wanna do.

Sorry, I meant that at Joker. >_<
Jebus... That's tough
Jebus... That's tough
Ah me too, got nearly full marks
Seriously, English SATS's don't count, to an extent they are way to easy and mean actually nothing all they do is asses the school and see how they improved you. We do them year 6 and year 9. I got my year 9 ones in January.
but just take practice exams. you've got it easier, cause you dont have to deal with the annoyingness of the analogies and the like on the verbal section. i hated those. it's what always brought me down.
aside from taking practice exams, be sure to get there a lot earlier than the start of the exam. this way you can get yourself settled a bit and not have to worry about rushing beforehand. don't bring more than you need to take the exam, and don't stress it. if it's your first SATs then there will be plenty of chances after this to redo them and get better.
focus on one area. try to get as much done perfectly of one section as you can, cause its always the highest of each section that gets counted no matter how many times you take it. so if you do really well in the math part this time but bomb the verbal, you can take it again and focus on getting the verbal higher; if you get lower on the math it doesn't matter, cause only your highest score will count. if that makes sense and i didnt confuse you...
