How was your Christmas? Hopefully, it was better than this kids'. A local FOX News report highlights one kid's unfortunate ordeal. Upon opening his PS3 box, he found a very heavy phone book, no PS3 in sight! Granted, a phone book has tons of replayability. But, it just doesn't play games as well as a real PS3. The family will be going back to the store they bought the system from. But, what possible explanation will the store be able to come up with?

Even after watching the clip I wonder how hard it will be to take the box and the phone book back and claim there wasn't anything in it. I'm sure stores have all sorts of scammers pulling stunts all the time, though I'm sure these people will have a news crew with them when they go to EB games and talk to the manager or whomever.
Who gets "Pirates of the Carribean" instead of Uncharted?
You gotta remember that his mom and dad probably bought this stuff for him, and you know how parents can be. He's lucky he didn't get something worse.
Wow, I would love to know what really happened.

I really doubt if we'll ever get to the bottom of this, because the parents will probably have a news crew with them when they return the box minus a PS3 so the store will give in without asking too many questions. Plus, I doubt if any employee is going to feel the need to raise their hand and take responsibility for this Smile

LMAO! Wow I'm just glad this didn't happen to me when I opened my Wii.

If what the parnets are say is true, then they'll get another PS3 no problem.
It looked like in the video that there was a controller still in the box also, so I wonder if just the PS3 was gone or if my accessories? Maybe someone was in a hurry to get the PS3 out and left everything else there? The whole thing just seems a bit odd.
Lol this is great. I work at a Gamestop so this gives me a good idea...
Haha, what the hell? That is funny
Damn, Lol. That kid was probably like "WTF!?!?!" That really sucks, I mean a phone book is good and all, but... Wow. I hope he gets a replacement.
lol, I hope the store beleives the parents so this guy can get a new PS3. How disapointing it must of been to open up a PS3 box on Christmas day and realise that its a phone book. Atleast he was amused and not upset.
awww poor kid. hope he gets another ps3, or the person who did it runs in, chucks a wii at the kid, and burns the ps3. that would be better. well, if the wii is alright... LOL.
I think I would be half and half between amused and upset. Maybe a bit more upset.
LMFAO! That was hilarious.

Also, is all US news like that? that clip of the children singing would never of been put into a UK news report.

"Breaking News here on Sky, a puppy has gone missing in Bedfordshire."

and yes. Me and my brother always watched Fox25Boston and Fox5NY in America. Half of the news was hilarious.

"More on Kate Moss's new haircut after the weather"

"Ice, as seen by Qatar Airways passengers, your 5-star airline"

I think the idea of showing the little girl singing was so that we all knew that their Christmas wasn't ruined...even though that shot was taken after Christmas.

American news does two things....

1.  It shows the very worst and tries to scare the hell out of us all the time (killer bees OMG)
2.  When it's not trying to scare the hell out of us it shows stupid family moments or talks about cats being rescued from trees.

btw I'm guessing the little sister found the PS3 before Christmas and before it was wrapped. Took it out, sold it on the street for $50, bought herself a cheap Karaoke machine and some cheap whiskey.
Haha that is true about the scare thing. Me and my brother were also laughing at all the apparent reasons why Americans would be in grave danger. And yeah, there's so much pet-related stuff. Like cats being run over by trains and surviving.

Also, why the hell are there so many Viagra commercials on after 9 in America? Like all the cowboys with guitars in a saloon singing "viva Viagra!"

Also there are thousands of commercials for medicinal products, and they always state the side-effects at 100mph

"sideeffectsmayincludelossofscalporpenis"

QFT (the truth one)

I also just don't like FOX News at all. We get FOX Rochester over here and my TV just stayed on the channel after watching something and I couldn't believe that they're allowed to pass a lot of their stuff as news and be as biased as they are.

"Those elves jacked my PlayStation"
>_< loser

We get that all the time >.<
Will people actually buy the stuff because it is on TV? I mean comon...

For x-mas I got the Nintendo wii it is great and also I have played it every day for hours but the original batterys what came with the console have not ran out yet and it said it will only last for 32 hours, I know for sure I have played alot more than that.
