My friend has a 360, and a few months ago, I bought him some games for the original xbox, not knowing that backwards compatibility was not readily available (Don't laugh at me). So I ordered that disc to do it that Microsoft offers for $1.99 USD, and they never sent it (Fools). I know at least one of the games I got him is on the emulation list, but I don't want to order the disc again and waste my money on something Microsoft will never send me, and my friend doesn't have xbl. What do you recommend I do? Thanks in advance.
tell him to hook his xbox up to the internet, you dont need xbox live to get updates. and if he doesnt have internet... hes living in the stoneages.
When you ordered the disc from Microsoft was it an online order or over the phone? Either way I would think you would have received a confirmation number that you could call Microsoft back with and get everything cleared up.
He has the internet, but it's a floor down... He has a wireless router though, will that work without xbl?
I ordered the disc online. It was months ago, 10 I think.
If he has a WIFI attachment for the 360 then it will work, but the 360 doesn't have built in WIFI.
Nope, I don't think he has any attachments whatsoever.
yup hed have to either move his box, get a really liong ethernet cable, get a wireless adaptor, or somehow get the disc. ;D
Damn disc. Hopefully I'll get it this time, before he spends hundreds on ethernet cables

Cool, I would think he'd have one of the two. Thanks.
Also, if he has a laptop, he can use an ethernet cable from the laptop to the xbox and set the laptop to share it's connection and be able to get on via the laptop's wireless
