As you may well know there are many with the preconception that Nintendo consoles are for "Kids". Well, no more! Ubisoft has announced a selection of games coming to Wii, One of which is the world renouned First Person Shooter, "FarCry" and another is the WWII fighter plane sim, "Blazing Angels"

Not much is known at the moment, but the fact that a company such as Ubisoft is taking Wii seriously is a step in the right direction for mature gamers. Imagine the unique gameplay of "FarCry" with the wiimote, or controlling a WWII Fighter Jet.

This comes as greater news in addition to Midway (Mortal Kombat) and Gearbox (Brothers In Arms), who pleaged their allegance to Wii recently as well.
Things are looking up for mature Wii gamers!
edit: Congrats to Wii_Rulez for posting

The only sad thing is that most of these mature titles will also be on the other systems where their revenue will be larger.
Fair point, but it is better than nothing at all,
well i bet it would be better for wii
lol my bro just got far cry for PC!

I told his friend about the far cry game for Wii and he didn't believe it! (cause he's a dumb ass, excuse my language) and my bro was like "I thought nintendo was just a kiddy type games but they're actully pretty smart!" lol
yea now wii is commin out with a lot of shooter games
Nice Graphics... Maybe nintendo is actually still thinking about us "Hard-Core" ( sounds wrong) Gamers.... Not only Lost or Non-Gamers....
both of those games have been out for the 360 for a while now.
That FarCry game looks tight.
Yeah its great that nintendo decided to open up to other companies. Its also great that 3rd party companies are finaly seeing great oppurtunities on the Wii.I heard news that Nintendo and Rockstar are negotiating about more oppurtunities on the Wii.I will be really happy if the Doom series or Half Life series comes to the Wii.
the more 3rd party support the better - even if it isnt stuff that you wont buy - other people will

The only sad thing is that most of these mature titles will also be on the other systems where their revenue will be larger. quoted from Poet.
ummmmm when u say revenue i assume you mean more profit.??Well poet...i cant see how thats true.??Can u pls explain y you think so?
And about this thread sure its a good thing.??But developers just have to make sure these "mature games"... implement the wii's controller as best as possible.??Id hate to see great games poorly use the wii remote.??The new Sonic game is a good example of how to uniquely use the wii controller.??I just hope more games are like this.??Oh and Echo ur completely right..more 3rd party developers, as many as possible even if those games arent as popular is a good sign for nintendo.
by the way NintendoWiiFreak when does Nice graphics equate in neway to hardcore gamers =T.??
the more games that come for ps3 to wii will mean that some of the games will be rated M which could help show nintendo isnt a kiddy counsle but i know its a good game system because of RE4
To be honest i wouldnt call nintendo "kiddish" afetr the wii.
Its a family approach.
there is such a variety!!!
Which is exactly what wii needs
variety, If they can crack that, then they will emerge top
I can see wii's increase in sharemarket to be very similar to DS's success. Variety of games will make the nintendo wii a success. The vc, internet access/online multiiplayer ability, unique motion controller, and a home console that bring more women into gaming like the DS. The only way i can see the wii not being successful is if they lack a large variety of games.
I have nothing to dedicate to this thread except an uneeded, off-topic opinion:
Little kids suck.
If its unneeded and off-topic DON'T POST IT
??
tobe honest the only way it effects me if its only for kids is if nintendo stop producing lots of games, because im a kid - the oldest game i really want no matter what is either metroid or red steel...
