I thought the same thing, but then now I can't stop playing Halo.

Its overrated, but gives you MUCH more play time than most games give.

It's really nearing a lockdown...

Except when my NOVEMBER 2007 Elite is now freezing every other game...

hahaha suck ass 360, my ribs are going to explode. heres what my take on all 3 systems are

Wii - you want all the kick ass exclusives that nintendo offers (zelda, metroid, mario... etc they never go wrong!), and are more interested in story line than multiplayer and replay value (with the exception of brawl and various other games, brawl being the major exception of course).

360 - you wont be getting those amazing nintendo exclusives, but you will be getting the ones for the 360, and most of them for the ps3. you are equally interested in story line, and multiplayer/ replay value.

ps3 - ... if you own a 360 you probably wont be getting this system mainly because most of the games are coming out for the 360. and the rest of the people that get this system fall under one (or a combination) of 3 categorys
1) Buying for FF's and/or MGS4 mainly (im considering falling into this group myself XD)
2) Buying for Blu Ray
3) Bought becuase of Price Drop and/or PS3 fanboy.

am i right or am i right?

also, SIXAXIS is not that big a deal guys come on, maybe if you could do more than simple tilts (more like the wiimote) then it would be praise worthy.

If you look at the games themselves, they all feel the same. There's much difference. I don't see anything the 360 has that really set's it apart. I don't know. Maybe you can persuade me.

he said high quality, not just exclusives. something that can go against the likes of BioShock, Mass Effect, Mario, Zelda, fable, ninja gaiden, DMC4.. so on (i realise dmc4 is not an exclusive but im just including it to show what a high quality game is.
all i see on that list are FF, MGS4, and MAYBE Ratchet and clank.

i played and beaten resistance, ive got to say that game is nothing special. just the first average shooter on the ps3. COD4 is way way way better. way better.

played GOW1, and 2, beat them both very interesting game but not high quality. GOW1 was much better than 2 imho in 2 it seems like they were running out of puzzle ideas.. there were some pretty stupid puzzles in it i gotta say.

how about umm,.... the games? like snake just said all of 360's exclusives plus all of the non exclusives plust most of the ps3 (former) exclusives add that all together, then add the implantation of Xbox live into amlost every single game.... live is amazing. ask a recent live owner cloud, im pretty sure he likes it.

FPS Nate, your name comes to mind.

The 360 does have a nice selection, but it's "killer" apps are all FPS games.

The Wii
Well, I have to say, I'm disappointed thus far.  Much shovelwear crap, with a few good Nintendo games.  Honestly, the Nintendo franchises, IMHO, are in a serious need of an overhaul.  Some of them are yet to feel as good as predecessors, as well as being dumbed down for the "casual audience".  Nintendo is distancing from them, as they push out more of this "Wii xxx" crap.

Truthfully, Brawl is the only forseeable future title keeping my Wii around for.

360 has excellent games, as I mentioned, but on to the PS3.  You know, as a Wii60 owner (former PS3 owner), I grow tired of PS3 constantly getting attacked.
Halo 3 may be popular, but it is over rated for what it is, full of 3 year olds, and quite frankly, terribly over AAed graphics.

In addition, the PS3 is also getting Home, as well as sporting PSN which is free, and including dedicated servers for games sporting up to 64 player matches.  It's open hardware also allows you to extend the device's capabilities.

Back to gaming, the PS3 is now seeing itself as a lead platform for game development, and is showing real promise.  True, Blu-ray isn't entirely neccisary, but if Sony keeps it at a competitive price point (40 gig is a better deal than 360 premium), why not have it?  Games could benefit from it as we see strikingly new exploratory projects.  The Cell is convoluted (read my post in the PS3 section), but as games get developed for it, it can simulate lighting, physics, and AI beyond what the Wii or 360 could even hope to with the help of powerful Floating Point capabilities of the SPEs.  (I call them SPUs, but w/e).  

When they port to the 360, the future ones will get worse, remember, MS requires "least common denominator" support, so that's NO HDD support, which shoots them in the foot.  Since games may fill Blu-ray discs, if they don't want to split, there will be compression as well.  These can lead to having inferior ports (possibly).

Maybe I'm the only one, but I feel sixaxis is entirely different from the Wiimote (I won't debate the "copying" issue).  It's motion sensing in the controller, so that you have access to all the PS controller functions WHILE doing the motion sensing.  In some cases, it feels more erognomic than a Wii remote (some, most of the times, it's the opposite).  Since you displayed ignorance, you'd realize the SIXAXIS has the same level of accelerometer input as the Wii, the only difference being that it doesn't contain the crappy short range IR pointer (the Wii's notoriously lousy pointing capabilities).

What's my take on the PS3.  It doesn't have much to lure at it's current price, but it's exclusives lineup leaves it having not only the most diverse exclusive lineups, but also an overall diverse library of any console including 3rd parties.

Why buy a PS3?  I can think of several reasons:
1.  Wide variety of games, sure to please many aspects
-Quite a few mature games (including FPSes, with M&KB, you should like that).  More diverse than 360, IMO.
2.  HD Movie player, yes, not for everyone, but still, it's a nice perk at it's competitive price.
3.  A little of each, a controller that allows motion sensing and standard controls (without an ungodly nunchuck)
4.  An open device supporting tons of hardware extensions
5.  A great media device with an award winning XMB interface

I like to take my shots at the PS3, sure, but it's a system that's shaping up to have a fairly solid 2008, and I'm tired of people using attacks that were only valid from the launch.  (Waiting for someone to quote the $599 price tag next).

I'm not one to defend Sony, but let's be honest, the system is a hell of a lot better than what you called it out to be.

I'll also add, since you've posted since I last have, you call resistance average. WTF Is halo? AVERAGE. Gears? Average.

You're the definition of Anti-Sony. Sure, Xbox Live is better, but you pay for it, and that's a real downer. Some games are now seeing PSN exclusive content, (DMC4), as well as benefits from the BD (5.1 LPCM), so it can go either way, and Sony's working on it's network . I'm not sure why you're hell bent on defending the 360 to the death, if you like FPSes that much, you'd never play that much on a console.

I have a 360, and the only exclusives worth it (besides Fable and a few others (bombs like Crackdown and Blue-dragon don't count)), are shooters, and/or available on PC.

BUT, i dont see my self getting it for the xbox360 anytime soon, the ps3 version is going to be the best version, "so i think", but im not going to get my hopes up to the max, im going to give my self some room for dissapointment, as who knows, it may get dropped.

but lets say, yes it happens, then this is a HUGE HUGE HUGE blow to the ps3, as this was going to be their MAIN title "considering they also lost the gta4 exclusive rights aswell"......but i still see most people getting it for the ps3

again, people, keep an open mind as this may not ending happening in the long run, aswell, as the 360 version may also see a later realease date then the ps3 version

4) ninja gaiden sigma? you do realise that itsbaisically ninja gaiden black remade (with much more features and stuff but still theyre the same game at the core). or do you think that im to much a 360 fanboy to know anything about the ps3. ninja gaiden 2 will blow this game away hands down. or am i just defending the 360 some more? lol
5) SIXAXIS is different from the wiimote and i never said that they were the same i said that the problem is that they are to much un alike.

and finally please go over and read my posts again, read the posts before them. ask yourself what i would be defending the 360 from then ask yourself if i was just respoing the the posts above. after you come to your own conclusion what ever it may be go ahead and ask yourself why you would say something like "I'm not sure why you're hell bent on defending the 360 to the death" when clearly our roles are reversed.

Can we keep it on the subject of MGS4 and the 360? If not, I'll have to pull it out.

Metal Gear is one of Sony's signature series. It's not going anywhere. IMO

^agreed, but maybe no other platform will get Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots,.....

BUT im almost 100% sure that, *the wii at the least* will get a remake of the other ps2 metal gear solid titles *snakes eater, guns of the patriots* considering the gamecube got a remake of the original metal gear.

im still a little shaky on the idea of MGS4:GOTP on the xbox

One game went multiplat. And that was MGS2: Substance. That went to PS2, XBox and EVEN PC.

The canon, original games haven't though.

Twin Snakes was remade for GCN, and I think Sons of Liberty and maybe Snake Eater could get Wii treatment.

As for MGS4. Maybe the special edition of that will go to 360.

Like someone said 'The only ones who care about MGS4 on 360 are PS3 fans'. And the only ones who don't care are M$ fans.
