Rock Band is not in the works for Wii
"Is there a possibility that we'll someday see Rock Band on the Wii? Maybe, but for now, EA doesn't seem very interested in bringing the title to our console of choice. Last year, Harmonix CEO Alex Rigopulos seemed excited about seeing Rock Band on "every important platform," and on the Wii in particular, but despite the Wii's amazing sales records, we can only guess that, at this point, it's not important enough. After all, EA's Bryce Baer told the good folks at GamePro that there's nothing in the cards at this time. At least, nothing's been announced -- which we knew -- but it didn't seem very enthusiastic, either. We'll try not to be bitter."
A disapointing statement for Rockband fans who own a Wii. Now we will sit and wonder when Wii will become "important" enough to have Rockband on its console.
Oh well, I didn't care for this game anyway. >_>
that kinda sucks- i liked it on the 360 but for some reason i dont see it working for the wii.....dont know why thought.
i mean dont get me wrong i like GH on the wii but i feel like im missing out on all the stuff it has on the other systems. i think id have that "jiped" feeling too if i spent $$ on a game thats worth more than my system.
That's disappointing. I would have loved to see Rock Band at some stage for Wii. It certainly is a cool game!
TLC actually raises a good point. Overall Rock Band probably would cost more than the Wii xD
It's only $170US LMX. Not bad considering the stuff you get. Like I said already, the drums would probably cost as much as a game.
Still not worth it. Price drop would be necessary for me to consider it. I could buy an actual instrument for a bit more than that in AU$
True, I bought my Aria STG Electric Guitar for roughly $110
looks fun but thats a lot of Cayshh
oh well, as someone has already stated..."no big loss" its true.
but if the wii does get this game......*sigh* i REALLY REALLY REALLY, hope its not just a cheap port, i would rather have developers take their time in making a good quality game insted of rushing it and getting a piece of crap game.
i hope developers make the right decision here *fingers crossed*
In other words MS has paid EA off.

Wouldn't surprise, but they can keep their *precious* game.
I'll just play it on my friend's 360 and save up all that cash to buy multiple games, ala SSBB or No More Heroes. You can get 3 games for the price of one Rock Band. Plus, it is boring unless you have all 4 people.

That and I don't the majority of Wii's audience would shell out the money for each instrument especially if it cost more than the system they're buying it for lol

he actually does have a really good point. Ignoring the fact that Microsoft has done this in the past and not considering the fact that it could've been done again is not being fair, its being ignorant.
Some of these games that people say won't be on the Wii, I kinda expected not to be in the first place.
But my step brother is getting it for his 360 he just got, once he can find it that is, can wait to play it

I kinda wish it was on the wii, and kinda not.

Seems pretty realistic to me. I don't blame Microsoft for trying.
