Seriously guys. We're not here to convert others, give your opinions, support them with facts. But don't attack others'. If a person is unwilling to change their opinions, let them be.
One, its not worth your time.
Two, why does it matter?
So please continue this discussion in a dignified manner, and leave your egos at the door. Thank you for choosing NW:TM, have a nice day.

And let me make a request to LMX and drew102e. Please either finish your argument by Private Message or agree to disagree. sc7 made a request for this not to happen, and we should respect him.
you stop mini-modding, then we'll see
Now, ON TOPIC... My Wii hasn't been on in weeks, and likely won't be until Feb 10
And Brawl shall dominate all.
PS. I wish it weren't the case. Also, I just prefer a controler opposed to motion sensing. Oh well, we'll see. I'm debating keeping my Wii only for Brawl, but otherwise, I'm really tempted by the PS3's amazing 2008 (and my 360's inability to function properly, once again). As for the DS, well that was probably a mistake from the get go, since I really don't play handhelds. (Whenever I'm not near a console, I'm not playing games anyway, so when I'm home, I'll always prefer to play on the console.
I am not mini-modding, I was sick of reading your conflicts. I requested that you finish it by PM.
As for what sc7 said, i agree, in part. While I like standard gamepad controllers, I still feel that the Wii controls have not been put to their full strengths, even by Nintendo. Sometimes they go too far to prove that the controls "can work", such as those annoying twist controls in MP3. While they were interesting, and pretty cool, because there was so many of them it got old fast. I still want to see more from the motion controls, as the IR function has practically been mastered now.
This is a tough one, because I fear there's not much to salvage the system. There's no reason to own a Wii if you don't play the controls, as the graphics are sub par, and first party titles can only appeal to a very small crowd worth getting a system over.
I truely don't know what could be done, and I regret saying that. As DaDallista pointed out, the Wii is likely to be a flop amongst the "hardcore" gaming community.
i do see the point that if owners dont go out and buy those more 'hardcore games' and instead buy the casual stuff in droves then that is all you are gonna get and that is sad
maybe nintendo needs hardcore third party exclusives like .... i dunno anymore...uh, whats the last good third party exclusive... FF?
Apart from that Nintendo aren't known for their amazing third party games. They are known for their first party titles.
If they're trying to attract new crowds, they're very successful.

"Anyways, I had my Wii for just under a year. At first I was so happy with the Wii, I had totally hyped the thing for about half a year before I owned it."
"I bought alot of games including Zelda, Mario Galaxy, Excite Truck, The Godfather, Big Brain, Red Steel, Monkey Ball. I really don't feel like going through every Wii game I owned. Anyways, slowly over time I was playing my Wii less and less. For example, when I first bought the Wii I was playing it for 11 hours sometimes. It was crazy, then as time passed I played it for a couple of hours a day. Maybe 5 hours if I was really into a game."
"But one day it suddenly hit me that I just wasn't satisfied with the line-up of games Nintendo had. Galaxy was a bit of a disapointment for me and Brawl felt a million miles away. Then I kept saying to myself, "Just keep waiting for Brawl". Then that day came around when Nintendo announced that Brawl wouldn't be coming to Europe untill atleast June. I was kind of left shellshocked with a sour taste in my mouth. I mean, I had been hyping Brawl for atleast a year before the Wii or so prior to Wii's launch. I was expecting Brawl the day the Wii was released, then it turns out it was delayed, then delayed some more. Now around 2 years later the game I desperately want is still around 4-5 months away. So Mario Kart alone wasn't going to keep me occupied untill Brawl arrives. Add that with the lack of great third-party games then that makes me an un-satisfied gamer."
"Then I turned to 360. Ever since I have lost more and more respect for Nintendo and their decision to leave "hardcore" gamers in the dark. Buying a 360 was the best thing I ever did."
Incase anyone tries to insult my obvious bad grammar in this PM. Its a PM! I didn't even check it.
