Also Snake, lets not be silly about telling everyone to sell their Wii's. Only silly non-modding PAL gamers should sell their Wii's. The clever ones are modding and importing.

But it is seriously worrying me, things like what comes next after Brawl and Mario Kart, what's their to look forward to. With GameCube we had a Zelda game, and we effectively won't be getting a Wii Zelda sequel according to Iwata
Ignore Iwata. We'll get a Wii Zelda, because they'd be foolish to leave us with the OoT clone that is Twilight Princess. I mean, its a Gamecube game, its last gen. They'll make us a new one or they are just plain slack.

Not really my loss. I know about Brawl, I want Brawl, but I do not want a system that sits in my entertainment center, and the only reason I turn it off is to remove the annoying blue glow that comes every so often. (Too lazy to change settings). It will then be played for a month, to only sit there again.

Depends on what they're "trying" to do. If they're trying to retain long time Nintendo fans, they're not being successful.
If they're trying to attract new crowds, they're very successful.
You seem to be on the dot about that. I stopped my subscription to Nintendo Power after 8 years. It may be that I don't have time to play or that I just have lost my enthusiasm for it. I'm diggin SSBB right now though, thats for sure

How does one go about modding their Wii? Is there any risk to accessing Nintendo services like the Shop & going online with games?
I admit I haven't read all the posts of this thread, so if I'm missing a joke then I apologize about my newbie-ness.
I just can't help but salivate when it comes to any tips&tricks for the Wii 
So I figured I'd ask.
Modding your Wii can be complicated. The most common option is the Wiikey. Nintendo's updates generally cause these sort of things to fail though, especially if your playing imported games on un-updated firmware. Bricking of Wii's is known to happen because of this.
Now the Freeloader is out, that is a safer option. IMO of course.
