I haven't owned a handheld since my gameboy SP, and have thought about a DS or even a PSP, but can't bring myself to spend the money for one or the other.

This past weekend my nephews came down with their new Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron Entertainment Pack. I gotta say I fell in love with the amazing screen. The game was actually a lot of fun, though I didn't feel the anolog stick gave me a great deal of control. The sound was very good, the WiFi works great, and I was even impressed with the batterly life.

One of the first things I did when they came down was hook their PSPs up to my internet and download the latest firmware, which was a breeze, and gave them internet radio which worked really well.

One thing I'd warn people about though, and if you have a PSP or have played one for a long period of time, it's murder on your hands. Also if you want a new slim version, don't buy the star wars version, but instead go to best buy and check out the one that comes with Daxter, the Family Guy UMD, and a memory stick. The star wars version comes only with the game Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron, so the boys had to pick up their own memory sticks to save anything at all on the system.

Again, overall I'm very impressed with the PSP, and think it's really an amazing little system.

btw check http://www.monoprice.com for very cheap cables to hook your slim psp up to your television Smile
thanksSmile i always love reading those short and percise user review.

i have to agree tho, its a pain in the ass playing that thing for a long time, its alittle uncomfterable, but overall, gaming isnt ment for comfort, its ment for enterntaiment..comfort is just the added bonous.

some titles i would reccomend for a psp would be:

metal gear solid : portable ops
Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron
NBA live 08
Im glad to see you enjoyed using a PSP.

I highly recommend MGS: PO Smile
MGS: PO, Silent Hill Origins and Crisis Core when it comes out. That's really all the PSP has, and it probably won't get much more apart from a Resident Evil game and then probably another FF.
I've always liked the PSP as a device (media, widescreen, great graphics on a portable). I always hated it's lack of games. Now that it's coming to it's own, the PSP is really becoming hard to resist at $170.
I'm in the same boat as Sc7. I owned two PSPs (long story) and I mostly used them to listen to music and watch videos. I rarely played games on them because I didn't enjoy most of the games. I did sell it before Final Fantasy came out though. When I had it there just weren't any "fun" games. I had a lot more fun playing my DS Lite but since then I have also sold it and now have no portable game systems. If the next PSP comes out and has better games and some improvements (better analog, dual if possible, better UMD slot) then I'd probably get it. I did love the look (design and screen) of it and still do.
