Nintendo - New York Times story incorrect: no full DS game downloads via Wii
January 4th, 2008
“An article about the Nintendo DS video game system in the December 31 Business Day section (of the NYT) incorrectly referred to future capabilities of the device. The statement that complete Nintendo DS games will eventually be able to be downloaded into the device via a wireless connection with the company’s Wii game console is incorrect. Users can download games to play on Wii, and, in the future, the Nintendo DS will be able to receive demo versions of some DS games from Wii, but not the entire game. The demo will be erased once the Nintendo DS is turned off.” - Nintendo response

They incorrectly report news, and they spell Reggie’s name wrong? Down with the NYT!

To bad with the no full game thing. I hate the demos where when you turn the ds off the dissapear. That is so annoying.
that's crap!
a, i posted this earlier on wiichat, and the response i got from most poster was "dissapointment" and ya, i guess im a bit dissapointed aswell, it would have been a great feauture to have
LAME.

I wonder if I can find some way to save the DS demos to my M3, though...
It was always supposed to be demo's anyway.
Why would you save demos to the M3 when you *can* get the full game?
xD
I saw what you did there Rawrrrrrrr. Why is everyone saying that now??? Anyways, back on topic. This makes much more sense and it's the demo channel that we've heard about before. I wonder who is gonna get slapped on the hand at the NYT for the screw-up.

Totally off topic but drew you're new sig is soooooooo wrong. *closes eyes and clicks randomly hoping he'll click the close button*
this makes a lot more sense. how would the DS memory hold an entire DS game? Holding a demo is way better as you can try the game without paying for it (possibly)

Exactly, not unless you were streaming it, which would needless to say, suck.

this really is dissapointing. they need to catch up on terms of online services.
Arrrr, I'm disappointed. Why would I want a demo when I could have had the full game lol.

sometimes me sigs are just for my entertainment, sometimes for the enjoyment of others Smile

it would have been kind of dumb to have full versions of games.

i mean..people would just never turn it off so that they could play through the whole thing....

unless there was a time limit? but that wouldnt be a full version...

i still dont understand how they would have worked that
Sucks that it disappears, but you'd probobly wanna play it once anyways, unless it was really good.
dang, i wanted to download full games.

*goes to buy a M3 for the DS*
