i know my internet sucks, but hey, theirs could too, and they could just be taking advantage of the situation :3

DENIAL

Wow, you guys are being disconnected? Im not. My only problem is sometimes I can't find Gears onlinr matches, but that could be due to lack of activity on that game. I also sometimes fail when trying to join a private chat. Apart from it running a little slower my XBL is fine.
I know what you mean about joining the private chat Toungue That was soooo irritating the other night. And you thought I wasn't trying to join Sad

gears is like the 3 most played game on xbl still man. (or around there)
1 - halo3
2 - cod4
3 - gow

you being not able to sometimes find xbl matches is part of the crappy xbox live as of late.

blah, my LIVE is wo0rking smoothly. seems like they've worked out MOST of the kinks.

should be 100% normal in 1-2 days
yup 2-3 days is what they said yesterday.
Finally..when my Christmas break is over..
yeah, funny how they put the estimated fix for the time most of xbl's new users are back at school,

my nephew got a 360 for crimbo and i have been trying to play cod4 and pgr4 throughout all of the holiday period, and with the broken service my sis prolly won't splash out on a full gold account,
iv'e been trying to ween that kid off of wow for ages, and now it looks like he might go back to it due to a piss poor service from xbl
My power goes out sometimes. I don't sue the power company. Suck it up people. I'm sure Microsoft doesn't like it any more than you do. Things sometimes go wrong due to unusual or unforeseen circumstances, especially when it comes to new technology. It will get fixed. This is just another get-rich quick scheme IMO. Ask for your money back and some free stuff or something. $5 million is in no way justifiable.
wow, people need to grow up

But when your power goes out, you don't pay for the power you can't use. When XBL goes down, Gold members are still paying for a service they are unable to access.

I don't understand why this is so hard to understand for people. If MS won't reimburse people for the money they lost as a result of being unable to access their Gold accounts, I honestly believe a class action suit is the correct action to take.

honestly you are underestimating one of the biggest corporations in the world. as much as i would love to get reimbursed for this, its just not happening 100%. id e willing to make a ginormous bet proving my point.
...and the lawsuit gets a kick in the nuts.

Remember that class action lawsuit last week that claimed $5 million in damages for Xbox Live downtime? It was filed by 3 Texas residents, but is the monetary figure justifiable? Gaming Steve did the math to determine that, at $50 a year for Gold service, one day of outage is worth approximately 13.7 cents. For about six days of outages, that's 82 cents, or $2.46 for the three who filed the suit. Punitive damages aside, the $5 million would cover 36.5 million Xbox Live Gold users who were hit with outages.

Of course, all the math is moot when you read the Xbox Live Terms of Use, specifically clause 16, which begins "We Make No Warranty: We provide the Service 'as-is,' 'with all faults' and 'as available.'" Just be happy you're getting a free game, fellas. As for the disheartened lawyers, don't fret, they can now spend more time trying to monetize the missing Halo 3 pixels.

but WHEN are we gonna get the free game? And will it be better than Yaris? (I don't see how ANYTHING could be as bad as that, but still...)
