Well, maybe a GC controller could emulate the remote. Just do something like set C-Stick up to move remote up and so on. It probably wouldn't work for every game but if you've got nothing else...
i would rather play wii-mote built games on wii-mote
I think it wwould work with all racing games on Wii cuz u hold the controller horozontially like a steering wheel.

I think there is a another button under the Wiimote too.
Yeah, the steering wheel/wiimote thing looks cool but what about Need for Speed where you're constantly pressing different buttons just to go down the street? Wouldn't this make it a little more difficult to drive?
exactly what i mean in mario kart, if you drift alot to get boost power slides and things it would be more akward
For mario kart there's more than enough buttons for it... I think there's like... 5 on the top you could use and that's like, all of the commands in mario kart.

Can't really use Excite Truck as an example since you actually need to tilt the controller to turn and to land a jump.

the porblem is there's not enough buttons but maybe they can make a periperal for racing games
well if theyh have/are, its a bit late for excite truck...

Mario kart would be good if made correctly, but i would want to know that you could also play with gc controllers
Actually GC controllers seem more likely to be used for Mario Kart even Nintendo needs to use that cotroller every chance they get... I still think the controller will be used.

the controls of the game dont require a periperal.

its true - if the gc controllers are used only in ssbb, then wii will be critisied for making you buy controllers jst for one game.

So once the GC dies and SSBB comes out will Nintendo still manufacture the GC controllers or will they start to become a rarity?

Excite Truck will not use the Nunchuk attachment, it will be controlled entirely with the Wii Remote. To control the game, the player must hold the Wii Remote in their hands horizontally, similar to the way they would hold an NES controller. Steering is done by actually tilting the Wii Remote from side to side. Acceleration and braking is done by pushing the 1 and 2 buttons, and to land major jumps, the player has to tilt the Wii Remote so that all four wheels will land parallel. The directional pad will be used for turbo boosts. Excite Truck will also include a multiplayer mode, and quite possibly, be able to be played on Nintendo Wi-fi Connection.

If this can be applied on Excite Truck it can be applied to any tougher racing games like F-Zero, Mario Kart, & Need For Speed: Carbon.

i hope they let u have the option to play with or without the gb controller

The Gameboy controller??

i think that most of the games that use GC controllers will be multi-platform games because it is easier for developers to just move the button controls to the GC controller rather than creating new movements for only the Wii.

for mario kart how do you items and drift. for f-zero how do attack other racers.
