i wonder the peripherial would look like if they make one.
Add Budokai Tenkaichi 2 to the list of games that can use GC controls.

Excite Truck will not use the Nunchuk attachment, it will be controlled entirely with the Wii Remote. To control the game, the player must hold the Wii Remote in their hands horizontally, similar to the way they would hold an NES controller. Steering is done by actually tilting the Wii Remote from side to side. Acceleration and braking is done by pushing the 1 and 2 buttons, and to land major jumps, the player has to tilt the Wii Remote so that all four wheels will land parallel. The directional pad will be used for turbo boosts. Excite Truck will also include a multiplayer mode, and quite possibly, be able to be played on Nintendo Wi-fi Connection.

If this can be applied on Excite Truck it can be applied to any tougher racing games like F-Zero, Mario Kart, & Need For Speed: Carbon.

yeah besides, i would much rather play with the wii-mote than the old GC controller, after all that's what the wii is all about dont you think?

true, but for those who really liked the gc controller you can still use with games like super smash bros. melee and most likely others in the future.

another thing is that now you dont have to throw out your gc controllers.

also the wii-mote doesn't have enough buttons for a mario kart game, and so thats where a gc contoller or a wii-peripherial comes in, but its less expensive for us and nintendo to use a gc controller.
And for people who were hoping that LoZ: TP would have an option to be controlled with the GC controller sorry to say but that won't happen. It's gonna be purely Wiimote controlled.

I'm concerned about info concerning the Classic controller.

Will the GC controller play VC games (making the Classic unnecessary?)
Nintendo might not let the GC controller play VC games, eventhough it probably could, since they want to make money off of the sales of the classic controller. If you let the GC controller play VC games, it cuts into your profits a bit.

the VC games wouldnt need a gc controller cause it has all the buttons from the previous console controllers. i mean thats the whole point for it.

Ok, lets assume that the GC controller CANNOT play VC games. My next question is this:

Can the Classic Controller play GC games, negating the need to hang on to your GC controller?

And what's it doing attached to the wii mote? If both hands are on the classic controller, where do you put the Wii controller?
Two Wii games I KNOW can use the GC controller are Super smash and Zelda Twilight Princess.
ahem.

So my questions regarding the GC and Classic controllers remain unanswered...
The thing is that we don't have enough info to answer the question. As we all know Nintendo's been stingy on the details and they very little other than tell us that the classic controller will be used for the virtual console.
Well i would say no but anything is possible at this point.
And where does the Classic controller hook into? Is there a special slot for it or does it go into the GC port?
Probably into the GC port. I mean there arent' really many other places for it to plug into lol.
maybe its wireless and goes into the back of the wii mote *Look at picture*
yea also i think its show the wii can like register the classic controller like the wii registers the wii-mote. also i think the wii-mote would be udes for menu options and while played vc games you can just set the wii-mote some where.
