on a related note, microsoft announced that they will be rereleasing gamecube games for wii. as long as they keep this to titles that have 'more intuitive' or 'better' controls than their standard gc controls, i think this is great. i assume these games couldn't cost much more than $30.

Yeah like Black-Echo said it sounds kinda wierd also.

also does this mean you can use GC controllers for the VC i doubt it...

Like I've said before, it won't happen because Nintendo would lose potential sales of the classic controllers.

I agree with Kindrik, Nintendo wouldn't bother with the Classic Control if you could use GC controls on the Virtual Console, it would probably be a wasted device... hence why I believe that it won't happen.
08-30-2006, 03:30 PM
though we say nintendo isnt in it for the money - no business's (except charities - but then even some are arguable) exist that dont want to be succesful and earn a huge profit.

08-30-2006, 04:24 PM
you never know. nintendo may try to keep its fans that it had from day one
08-30-2006, 11:08 PM
Nintendo is in it for money, and thats why I believe you'll need the Classic Controller for VC games, they wouldn't go through the trouble of making it if you could use the GCN controls.
08-31-2006, 03:28 AM
there would be no point wasting millions on designing and manufacturing if you could just use the GC controllers instead of the Classic controllers.
10-29-2006, 04:47 PM
they've said you can use the Classic Controller for GCN games, but also use the GCN controller for Wii games. to me this is poinless, and plus this thing where you use GCN controllers on wii games wont last because there wont make enough Wii games with this option to support costs of making three different kinds of controllers.
10-29-2006, 04:54 PM
They probably won't keep making GCN controls, it'll be up to GCN owners to keep their old controls.

so eventually it would be really rare. and go on sale on ebay for 2x the original price
