Yes, this is quite possibly the strangest gaming news we've heard of in a while. Star Wars characters Darth Vader and Yoda have joined Namco Bandai's PS3 fighter, Soulcalibur IV. We could possibly write something funny to describe this situation, but we're confident that you guys will do much better than us.
The franchise has been home to other non-canon characters, such as Link from The Legend of Zelda. What do you think about this Lucas-flavored addition to this fighter?

This is really interesting, but with Star Wars the Force Unleashed, it's not surprising that Lucas is letting these characters out to play.
You may remember that each version of Soulcalibur II had a special guest character, the most popular being Link in the Gamecube version. Well Soulcalibur IV is again employing this tactic, except this time the Xbox 360 version will get Yoda from Star Wars as a special character while the PS3 version gets Darth Vader.

Yes I believe the 360 version will also have them.
Yoda is exclusive to the 360 version and Darth Vader is exclusive to the PS3.

From the screens, Darth Vader looks MUCH more badass than Yoda. In fact, he just straight up looks badass.
I wish that they could both be in the game. I understand why the characters were separated in Soul Caliber 3, can't imagine Link on the 360 or PS3 but since these two are both from Lucas Arts I don't see the problem.
If I had to choose between the two I'd definitely pick Darth Vader. C'mon! He's Darth Freakin Vader!
i've never played any soul caliber game but I want to play this one now

Darth vader is just plain bad ass but Yoda is...well > all. Yoda is ahead of darth vader in my books
They better have force powers, even if they are only there throws. If Vader is ps3 only, that would really blow for 360 owners. Who'd want to control Yoda when you could be Vader?
According to Namco Bandai's press materials for the game, Vader will be in the PS3 version and Yoda will be in the Xbox 360 version. You know, because PlayStation is black and Xbox is green.
