Well they still say if "can" be damaged when in standby and no one is playing.
don't worry. I think after decades of working with CDs companies have probably figured how to keep them safe in their own products.
always in there.

why waste 10 seconds of my life putting in disks?
Wii isn't like 360 here if you tilt it a friggin' 1-degree angle while it's on the disc explodes.

Only retards move around there system while playing.

I leave discs in everything.. my ps2, wii, 360, car stereo, and computer. I don't see the big deal about it, I've never had a problem with a disc because of leaving it in something
Look, when the disc is not playing, it just sits in the slot. It doesn't keep moving and grind away or anything. It's like leaving a frying pan in the stove after you're done cooking. If the stove is off, the pan won't melt from heat.

Neither have I, but cause I'm really paranoid, I'll once in a while take it out.

Mine stay in there.

Edit: Wow, I didn't realize how old this was. Toungue
Meh, I'm sometimes too lazy to remove discs all the time. And if I try I often forget and go back into the habit of not taking them out. If I start hearing about damage occuring as a result then I'll change my habit... until then, I'm happy leaving them in there.
I take them out of my computer, but if it's a console (Or a cartridge for a portable/N64/SNES/NES) I leave everything in.
I have been leaving discs in since the PSX...no problems ever.

I've only had my wii a bit over 2 weeks but have always left a disc in it, and I'm connected to wiiconnect24. (Speaking of which, someone please add me. I want to see that damn blue slot light once in my life.... I've put my info in the friend topic too. 7791 2042 6868 6999).
I'm yet to have any issues. The wii seems slightly warm to the touch, but no more so than a dvd player or some other similar electronics.

Well see. I may try and get better about taking them out in the evening.

Laziness usually prevails though....

I added you
Mine is 0222 9242 8488 6604

OT: I always leave a game in mine, no problems

thats what happened with my Red Steel back in early 2007 a few months after getting my Wii.
i dont know if it was caused by the Wii itself or my retarded brother picking it up or something like he'd do -_-.
but i turned the Wii on and ejected the disc and there was a great big circle going all the way around the disk about half way between the centre and the edge, just seems to be the disc thats damaged though as its always played fine before and after.
all my disks still get left in every console i own though just as Snakey does and nothing else has happened since so i'm not too worried.
just don't move your consoles around whether they're turned on or not if theres a disk inserted i guess is the easiest way to be safe?
leave them in otherwise by all means

Kaimen here. No Problems.
