For those of you who don't know how LoZ: Wind Waker ended, Ganondorf was defeated by Link who jammed the sword into his face, turning him into stone. There's been much speculation that Ganon could finally be dead forever or that he could just have been sealed in some way. I personaly believe he's just sealed inside and will one day return again. The question is how.
1. In a future Zelda game (weather it's Twilight Princess or not) Link (or an incartion of Link) will make his way back to Ganondorf's petrified body where he will remove the Master Sword from his forehead. Then with a bunch of music to create suspense all that will happen is Link will remove the sword and Ganon's body will be reduce to a pile of rubble. However unknown to Link and the player, Ganon's spirit will escape and it will inhabit a reincarnation of himself, who until then, led a normal everyday life. Ganon will then rise to power again and Link will need to defeat him.
2. Same as the above, only now the player will see Ganon's spirit escaping but Link won't notice it.
3. This time when Link removes the sword, instead of Ganon falling apart there will be a flash of light and Ganon will be unsealed and living again. He'll give out his trademark laugh, say all the clich? bad guy stuff like "Fool! You have released me from my thousand year-old prision. I am now free again to rule Hyrule." He will then look at Link, stare for a moment, say nothing, and then use his magic to teleport somewhere.
4. Link removes the Master Sword from Ganon's body however amid much fanfare and suspense, nothing happens. The progresses through the game normally and defeats whoever the final boss may be. But after the end credits we are taken back to Ganon. We get a close up of his hand. Rocks begin to chip off of it and then he clenches it into a fist.
So in short, I simply think that Ganon's still alive and out there. Anyone else have an opinion?
I still think he's alive... I'm reading the windwaker comic at
http://www.indiezelda.com and....well I don't wanna spoil it

but lol I might be wrong....
well i asume the all time amazing bad guy is still there - one of my favourite moments in OOT was facing ganon (not ganondorf that was a pain)
He'll be alive, I mean at the end of OOT Ganon copped a sword in the head and Ganondorf got sealed away... then came back. So rest assured Ganon will return, as for how I'm not entirely sure. I like the idea of removing the sword from Ganondorf's stone head but maybe don't have anything happen until Link leaves and then have him being unsealed or something... I think they'd want to try and surprise the gamer even though we know in our hearts he is coming back.
That may even be in the prologue...
nah
he will be back though.
Actually I like my forth choice

So that we could see what a Ganon-less Zelda game would be like and then it would set the tone for the next game in the series because everyone would know that Ganon's alive again and then they'd be excited for the next game.
But it has been confirmed that Ganon(dorf) will be in TP. Exactly what role he will play is unknown.
And sorry to double post but I've heard arguments of him not being to survive because no one would be able survive being turned to stone, let alone a sword in the head

. And there's also that the water would erode Ganon's body away. Who knows if Miyamoto would take that into account.
And since we don't know where TP goes in the timeline we have no clue if this new Ganon is before or after WW. And in Phantom Hourglass (DS) which is the direct sequel to WW Ganon won't appear.

Great! That will definately get me geeked for the next game.
I said dead because I have seen him die a couple times

Don't get so excited. That's just my idea. Who knows what Nintendo's going for.
Ganondorf is always alive, and dead...None of the Zeldas are linked in any way except that the stories are vastly similar. In each title he's alive then killed which means he's dead in each respective title. I wish more people understood the basis of games.

Well people actually go through a lot of trouble to try to prove that the Zeldas are linked as they create whole chronological storylines to prove their points. I'm not going to do anything like that but when they mention the Hero of Time (Ocarina of Time) in Wind Waker then you gotta believe that they are all linked together somehow. And somewhere in WW Ganondorf calls Link the "reincarnation of the Hero of Time".

I actually agree with you
TWW is an event that occured after TP.

well whether hes killed or Trapped in each title the fact is that he always comes back
that the end of it...
but maybe there will be a different enemy which you need the master sword to kill, once you "pull the sword for the stone" ganon would come back to life and then they'll team together.
You guys have it backwards. Twilight Princess comes BEFORE The WindWaker. As in something happens in TP then years later TWW happens. People believe that Twilight Princess explains why Hyrule was underwater but I don't believe it.

yeah but this could happen in LoZ: PH as well, this isn't tp speculation - its zelda in general
I was talking about milkman's timeline post.
whoops sorry
well still, when he does come back - how will it be done?
