So i was doing some Christmas shopping and stopped in to buy a Wii game for my nephew (and of course my self) and i was talking to the clerk (oh yeah i was at GameStop) to see if they just happened to have a Wii (of course they didnt).
But heres the crazy thing she said that all 4 sorrounding GS's were sold out of not only Wii's but also every other Nintendo Console they had (Wii, DS, GCN, Used GBA).
I walked into that same gamestop yesterday (a month later) to buy another Wii game for myself and i was just curios to see if they were still sold out on everything. AND THEY WERE. Not a single Nintendo system instock.
Props to Nintendo!
Just thought id share that
That sounds about right. My local game shop has just recently got Wii's in stock (due to them being out of stock for ages) and I honestly doubt that they will last long, that's if they have not all been sold already.
They were out of stock for DS's aswell for a long time and I'm still unsure if they have any.
EDITED: Yeah, i managed to snag a Wii when they first came out, i just couldnt believe how many GameCubes are still being sold.

oh yea i waited in line the day the wii came out and i didnt get one til february cause they sold so fast XD

There are still so many Gamecubes being sold because they only cost around £20 and the games are cheap enough to buy. I mean, £20 is nothing, especially for a nintedno games console isn't it? I would defintely buy one if I couldn't afford a Wii.
I've noticed the lack of Nintendo consoles too. I haven't actually seen a DS available to buy here in Cardiff for at least 3 months now, and it's pot luck if you can find a Wii.
I feel really lucky that I own both a Wii and a DS. I'm just glad I showed interest in them both at the right time; so I managed to get hold of them both (even though I did have to wait for my Wii for about a month and a half).
Why would ds's be sold out!?!?
Why would ds's be sold out!?!?
Why? Because there is still high demand for these things. Why do you think they are out-selling everything else on the market?
Yeah, but everytime I go to walmart they are this 15 of them. And in all stores I go in they are always in stock.

Yea, same for my area. I think it all matters in the area that you live in. I have never seen a DS not for sale in a store where I live, nor at least a GC. But if I saw a Wii in stock in a store I know even where I am it wouldn't b there for very long
I went to Best Buy a couple days after Christmas looking for the Nyko remote chargers and they were sold out of all accessories, as were 2 Target stores, Toys R US, Circuit City.
Gamestop finally had just one left. Wii **** is hard to find
Well, it could be a massive under-shipment by Nintendo worldwide and then a little bit of number fudging. Just saying.
