...for pete's sake, you guys are all children -_-
...a delay shows up, and you're lunatics.
I think you went way overboard on your observation. Members are venting their frustrations in different ways, and they have every right to.
I do think that those members who live in parts of the world that don't see these games until months after the US market should think about what LMX wrote above, because it seems like you guys always get the short end of the stick.
i went way overboard...ok...how? i was telling Mana to breathe, take a deep breath...isn't that how you're supposed to get someone to relax a little bit? so they're not throwing things across the room, smashing a computer screen, etc etc?
and yes, i do believe that some people are acting like children; its my opinion on the reactions that this delay has been getting, and it's valid. it's a videogame, not something that their lives depend on. when i first started reading this thread, i thought of that little kid that wants that new toy, but his parents take it away from him before he can open the box and tell him he has to wait until christmas. it's an itch in the pants that you can't get rid of, but there's nothing you can do about it. no sense getting worked up about it, you know? probably not, cause we don't see eye-to-eye... but i don't believe that someone should be so worked up about it. did you SEE what was said when someone suggested the delay when dates changed in some stores? did you see the flat out rejection of it and flaming on some sites for even suggesting the delay? i can only imagine what they're like now that the delay has been confirmed on the dojo. yes, i understand the anticipation is killing, and yes i understand that people are mad at yet another delay...but if you know that Sakurai (and Nintendo) hasn't been good with keeping release dates, then you should have at least been prepared for this. i think an "ugh, another delay? *facepalm*" is a more reasonable reaction than "well, since theres ANOTHER delay there better be an addition of a new character or something special to make up for it." and "im gonna go hurt something now." disappointment, understood; anger, flaming, and the looking for something to make up for the delay, not really understood. considering the fact that they only delayed the game a week, i don't think it's that big of a deal. it's certainly better than a delay of a few months again, or the complete failure of abandonment.
don't forget that a few members have stated that this is "just a fighting game." if it's just a fighting game, why get so worked up about it? i understand that the PAL users are always the ones getting hurt by this and i don't fully understand their pain, but honestly if they don't want to wait for their version of anything Nintendo, they should do like LMX said and learn to either import or mod their Wii.

okay i think it's been on your high horse long enough, it's to come down.
we've all done our share of "acting like children," so there's no need of that. like Mana said ppl were mad for about 10 minutes tops, and in those then 10 minutes, wo ppl vented, so you're trying to out them down for it? come on now.
simply put, Nintendo of America made this decision, not Sakurai. brawls pre-order numbers weren't looking good, and Nintendo of America (NOA) wanted more time to get together the advertisements, commercials, magazine ads, and promotions to drive stronger first week sales. Another factor in the placement of the American delay is to give this part of the year stronger profit. My source had no details on this matter. The Japanese numbers are fine and the week delay is for a shortage of copies made. The game is finished in Japan in in full. NOA is still working on localization and the way brawl communicates with American routers. So in short, we simply will have to wait another extra month for Brawl , unless u want it half English/ half Japanese.

Makes sense. Pretty much nintendo's fault. They wait til the last minute to advertise the important games. Prime example would be Metroid Prime 3. The preview channel came out of no where and wasn't even interesting at the very least.
a delay shows up, and you're lunatics. like i said, at least its another delay and not an "oh, sorry, you were waiting for this game? oh, well we decided we didn't want to finish it. im gonna run now before you can chop my head off, bye!" yes, it hurts, but did you really expect anything else from the King of all Delays?

Whoa whoa whoa... people have a right to get angry over a delay. It's a delay. Hell, the whole WORD is bad. It's meant to be used in a negative sense. If people want to vent their anger by pressing the CAPS LOCK button, or by by pressing shift + 1, or even tossing things, it's their right. Whether it's a game or not everyone's opinions and reactions are justified. If this was actually my computer I would have pushed over the moniter. I'm tired of it being delayed. Plain and simple. In no way am I acting "childish" for expressing my distaste for Nintendo's/Sakurai's decision. The difference between a kid pouting for a toy, and me, is I payed for my toy, and now the briefcases are telling me to wait longer.
Everyone acts like a 3 year old in a checkout line with a parent who won't buy him candy whenever a game gets delayed... guess ps3 and 360 fans can chime in here about appropriateness...
They're chastised for not holding a solid release date. Is it wrong to be angry over a delay? Did I miss the memo?
Anyway..Lost Odyssey Feb 12th.
GETTING IT FIRST DAI.
NMH should have way better sales now
The fact is in that time no real new content can be added in a week for the Japanese release, so the reasoning has to be somewhat technical.

The Preview channel was a neat idea and I liked. The delay sucks, but I'll manage. But Nintendo should have started promotion for a long time ago for Brawl.
*grabs razor*
*slits wrists*
i hate my life!
With SSBB, we've waited 6 years, what's one more month? Nintendo screwed up though: instead of giving a specific February release date they should have said "Q1 2008" or something.
Oh and I hate to say that I told you so but...http://www.wiiloaded.com/Another-delay-f...-13599-wii
Nice, Cloud

PAL gets a lot worse and what about Japan, they still haven't got metroid.
Uh... who's waited 6 years?
PAL gets a lot worse and what about Japan, they still haven't got metroid.
PAL gamers don't have a release date, therefore they don't have a delay. I think my first post is how every region should/will/has react(ed).

I wasn't talking about brawl release in Europe. I just saying we have to sit through several months before we get an already released game, America waits one month and they scream?
Nintendo, successes at failing.
