in SSBB, each character should have a clone character, that you become by picking a character and then pressing Z to become the clone/alternative character.
Like picking Mario and pressing Z would make you Dr. Mario, picking Luigi and then pressing Z would make you Waluigi, Z on Bowser would make you Wart (with different B and up+B moves I guess,) Z on Yoshi would make you SMRPG's Boshi if they had the rights, Z on Kirby would make you King DeDeDe, etc
Edit: Oh, and I mean on the char select. Not in the middle of battle :3.
Would be kind of cool. Like costumes in Soul Calibur. Lets take that to another level. Luigi normal(well normal luigi nuff said)... and ghost hunter luigi with his ghost catcher amid one that actually works so he gets another skill set to. Same with mario and the gamecube mario water cannon.
That's a pretty good idea, perhaps something like that will be added
would also add replayability since you would need to unlock these things after beating them wit hthe character... maybe other conditions also.

Ahh...So you mean double the amount of characters they have in the game. That'd be cool.
it'd make the char select a lot smaller and cleaner that way, if they put a ton of characters in SSBB that is, Yosh!
