Assassin's Creed confirmed for DS
After the success of Assassins Creed on both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, Ubisoft has decided to put the third-person stealth game on DS. In fact this game isn't even a sequel, it’s a prequel. Once again you take control of Altaïr, a seriously badass Assassin, who is a member of a group named the Assassin Brotherhood. This time around Altaïr is on the search for the holy chalice, an artifact that holds enough power to determine the result of the bloody crusades. Some game play details have also surfaced:
- Use Altaïr's acrobatic abilities to your advantage in combos during swordfights
- Aside from the merciless swordfights and powerful combos, players can also eliminate their opponents using stealth tactics
- Run, jump, and climb through 4 historical and completely 3D-rendered cities: Damascus, Akkon, Jerusalem and Masyaf. Each with their own unique look and feel
- Use the stylus to interrogate informers and pickpocket precious items from civilians
We all know that it’s possible to transform a graphically superior game and turn it into a good DS game. Activision managed to take Call of Duty 4 and successfully adapt the game to the DS, which turned out great. But one question arises; can Ubisoft do the same with Assassins Creed?

You stole me article, *****.
Great job writing this up Snake.
Nice job Snake. I might pick this up considering I haven't bought many DS games.
Spoiler: (hover to reveal the text)
I haven't finished Zelda or Diamond yet D:
Too bad this game will barely sell.
Its a bad spin off to start with IMO.
But hopefully it can get a 6/10.

Would you be shocked to see it get above 8?
I will donate blood if it does.
cheap port?
if it is then i dont see it getting more then a 6
7 max
Its interesting to see. But I doubt it'll be any good. I mean, the console Assassin's Creed games were "meh" at best.
The only thing people are really saying about the 360 and PS3 version of the game is how beautiful it is and I highly doubt if the DS has the ability to pull off this game in grand form. Here's hoping for the best, but ready for the worst.
It is very beautiful but I think the mechanics are what make it fun except that it gets repetitive and boring after you play a couple of hours in a day.
Nice job Billy! Hmmmmm, I'm not sure about this for the DS. I've heard it's really good on 360, but it just doesn't seem like the game to be released on DS. I might end up picking it up anyway though.
