I don't like it at all.... To kill someone you have to do slow motion all the time..the camra moves like crazy...For me I give it about 4.... its my opinion just. It was a waste of 50 for me...

Interesting...

I copped last night, and thus far, I really like it... I'd even venture I'm close to loving it, honestly.

The "slowmotion" he refers to is the death blow... when you're in hack&slash mode wailin' on somebody, the final blow is in fact generally a motion controlled action, but it's very simple... the wrestling moves are motoin controlled as well, but again, very easy to do. I found the combat INCREDIBLY addictive. I also found the difficulty level pretty damn harsh lol... I picked "mild" as opposed to "sweet", the harder of the two, and I haven't been disappointed. I'm attempting to take out #8 now, and THIS lil chick is HARDBODY... although 10 and 9 went down pretty easily (pause).

The dialogue is cheesy, but intentionally so and comical (also explicit Ph43r M3h ); the assassination side missions are cool for the most part, albeit short thus far. The side-job's are pretty quick and kinda fun. Riding around on the bike is ok, no real excitement in it tho until you figure out how to powerslide and use the nitrous; then things get pretty cool. I've also been trying to find as many dumpsters as possible for money and T-shirts; bought a new outfit, new beam-katana, and some upgrades... also did the training to increase strength/vitality/etc... lmao @ the dialogue with the trainer dude lol.... (PAUSE..................STOP..................EJECT!)

i'm headed home tonight to dig into it deeper, I'll add more as I have it. So far tho, two thumbs up.

Haha. Good stuff. Make sure to keep us updated.
Sould like a lot of fun, keep us posted on the game.

IGN wasn't very positive on this game...

Could we have a fail on our hands? Who knows...

It appears IGN is the only one not that excited for NMH as GamePro gave it a 9 and NGamer gave it a 9.4.

I got the game, it is pretty sick. I am really tired of the GTA references...it is NOT meant to be a GTA-like game. It is not bought for its roaming abilities, but rather for the combat. The moves are fresh and new and full of bloody goodness. The slot machine is different...if you are lucky you might do a strawberry on the shortcake heh. The fighting is what the game is all about. It is just a game unlike any other in my opinion...which is why X-Play gave it a 5/5 and Gamespot gave a 9. It is something new in an industry full of clones and imposters.
Oh my god, i'm so pissed, i have this game sitting in my room on the dresser but I can't play it til maybe this weekend... I felt a little better once I read the game book a few times over just to get over the pain and then I watched the review on X-play. Already I know my favorite "Dark Side" modes would be the lightning speed mode (triggered by three grasshoppers on the roulette) and the Brutality mode(triggered by three BAR signs on the roulette). The other three modes are pretty nice too. They have a dark side mode where a reticle comes up and you shoot energy waves(triggered by 3 bells) "Anarchy in the Galaxy" which is a big blast or explosion(triggered by three 7s) which is sorta like Shadow's Chaos Blast I guess and the last is slowing down the enemies(triggered by three cherries). I'm reading it and it sounds good, just can't wait to play it.
OK, so I played some more last night... took a few tries but finally beat #8.. DAMN that little chick was tough lol. Still on my second Beam Katana with some upgrades, got some new gear, trained a little more and got down with some new side-missions... the missions pay more as you go along, so I'm coming up with the entry fee MUCH faster now. I really just do the missions for fun more than money at this point, cuz I make about 45K-50K off of each one. The combat just gets better and better =]

The game got a 5 out of 5 on X-Play. I was even surprised by that. Does it mean the game is perfect, of course not. I think the GT review did a good job at pointing out the minor flaws it has. X-PLAY liked the style, characters, controls, & story. They probably thought a 4 doesn't do it justice. Also something to think about is NMH is first 5 of out of 5 game for 08, the first 3rd party Wii game to get perfect score, and the 3rd Wii game in general to do so (on X-PLAY).

xplay doesnt give out many 5/5s, and i do trust them more than most reviewers (they are my ebert and roeper) this is impressive and even thought the game isnt my thing its now on my list of games to pick up

I went looking for it but it's apparantly been delayed to Feb 1st in Canada because Ubi forgot to print a French manual. It sucks but at least now I'll have more time to enjoy Endless Ocean.
Gonna pick this up tomorrow if I can find it around anywhere. I've been waiting for this one and it sounds fun.
I need more impressions from people who have the game!! I'm starved for info here and we Canadians have to wait another week minimum for it. Sad
I'm sustaining myself on YouTube videos of it and interviews. I've pretty much got the game's intro running on a loop.
The absolute only problem I see with it is that Santa Destroy doesn't have a lot of longevity to just screwing around the city. I mean, I'll still piss around for hours because that kind of freedom is my favorite part of any game ( I seriously spent hours in Hyrule castle in Zelda: Wind Waker just looking at the landscape)

The story looks pretty sweet, but the open city is the most anticipated part for me. I love the sandbox gameplay in Grand Theft Auto (hate everything else about it, characters suck, story sucks, concept sucks, ect...)

From the videos of cutscenes and bosses I've seen I find the characters and the dialog pretty interesting. The story was meant to be kept really simple which I don't mind and I personally like the concept. As far as Santa Destroy goes, the game isn't meant to have that large Zelda or GTA feel and it's just another mission based game. The city is just there in place of static mission selection screen.

That I mean from Grand Theft Auto. No More Heroes is all gravy

o i c. Gotcha. I agree with you there then.
So I finally have No More Heroes. Am the 7th ranked assassin, and I have to say, is quite an impressive game. Although the city isn't grand Theft Auto depth, is still has interesting diversions, like lovikov balls, dumpsters to kick over, money hidden in the ground, and free fight missions (which I dislike with great passion. You can't get hit while doing them, it's friggin' ridiculous)

The ranked matches are incredible though. Destroyman especially, you have to see it to fathom how insane he (and this whole game) really is. And he goes down in an amazingly awesome fashion. Fighting is definitly the best part of the game. (But really, who didn't know that?)
Must... find this somewhere...
Would anyone happen to know how to delete individual save files? I saved in another slot, and now I have an unused save file that I want gone. I'm just OCD about stuff like that.
This game has been put back in Europe now. It WAS being released on Feb 29th but it's now being released a week later on March 7th according to GoNintendo.
