Walmart Says Sorry

Last Friday people jumped on the deal from Wal-Mart that offered Brawl for an outstanding price of $19.82. To everyone’s surprise Wal-Mart was quick to cancel this offer. People who took advantage of the deal were soon sent an e-mail telling them that their order was cancelled. So not only did Wal-Mart make a mistake that stuck out like a sore thumb; they didn't let the people who had already ordered have their deal. After the dissatisfaction a lot of people experienced Wal-Mart decided to compensate those that ordered Brawl but had it cancelled. They are now offering a free $10 electronic Gift Card to use online at Wal-Mart’s website. If you haven’t already received your e-mail, here is what to expect:
"As we are always striving to provide a positive customer experience, we will be sending you a $10 electronic Gift Card toward a future purchase as an apology for your recent experience. (One Gift Card per affected customer; this card can only be used online at Walmart.com. Look for details in a separate email.)."

With a mistake like that Wal-Mart should feel it’s their duty to make disappointed customers feel better. So this is definitely the right thing for them to do. Unfortunately though they're with out a doubt going to lose a lot of money over this.

It was a very honest mistake on Wal-Mart's part and it wasn't even advertised that long before they caught it so it's pretty nice of them to be doing this.
Consumer service at wal-mart ftw this instance.
the $10 gift card was very generous of wal-mart, those who pre-ordered shouldn't press their luck.
This is an ingenious marketing plan.

Guess how many people are going to be buying Smash from them now because they have 10$ off?

Brilliant.
walmart.......the most evil coorperation in the planet strikes again
Wow... I never saw THAT coming... McDonalds gave me a gift certificate when they gave me a burger with onions in it, when I asked for no onions, and I am allergic to onions...
At least Walmart are compensating customers for their mistake. They could of chosen to do nothing about it but they did.
My Wal-Mart didn't have that deal, well good.
Wow, walmart sure is stupid. That is a pretty big mistake.
That's disappointing. Sometimes you can get away with these things as a consumer. What a nice deal that would have been Smile
$20 for brawl, that would have been sweet
Thank you walmart for the free book. I plan on buying Smash Bros elsewhere.
