Yes, they probably do know. But have also probably been sworn to secrecy by Nintendo.
The 35 character roster wouldn't be so bad in terms of amount of characters, its the characters who are in there who annoy me. I mean, Wolf and Falco getting in over Krystal? R.O.B being playable? Doesn't sit right with me.
Think about it; smash brothers lacks a true robotic character. R.O.B. wouldn't be such a bad addition in that regard. And Krystal? Sure, we could use another female in the roster (and the whole Bo Staff thing would've worked well) but the fact she was designed by Rare along with her dubious position of marking the Starfox series decline makes me hate the idea of it.
Ah well, Diddy Kong came out of Rare and he's still in. We'll see.

Like I was saying on the BrawlCentral forums. I don't mind 35 characters to be honest. If they replace R.O.B with Ridley and either Falco/Wolf with Krystal. If they did that I'd be perfectly honest.
Leaving characters out for lame possible clones (ie. Wolf) or just strange lame wtf characters (like R.O.B) is strange. I have no real problem with 35 characters (even though 40 would have been nice)
I'm not referring to the rumor, cause there's no way it's true, but if we were to have only 35. I myself is hoping for 40+, but I'm just bracing myself if it isn't.

Ness' FS is basically the same as Lucas' and so is falco's to fox. Ganon(TP) is the FS for Ganondorf, but he has no sword.

Even though it was fake, ever since I saw a screen of a possible 44 character list I wanted Krystal when I saw her on it. She would be a much better character than Wolf; and maybe even better than Falco like you say.
So far, I'm pretty happy with the roster. I could add and take away a few characters here and there, but I think this roster will be pretty good!!!
It's OK, but I think Sakurai could do with doing a few swaps here and there. And plus, 35 characters is a bit lame don't you think? I would be alot happier with 40+.
