While many of those lists lack credibility, some of these folks stack a lot of faith on the man "leaking" the final numbers for the roster and other fun facts ( such as Samus' nemesis Ridley being in SSM as a boss, but not playable ).

I'm infuriated with the idea of there being three Star Fox characters. Talk about serious over-representation!
They don't even need Falco this time around. Fox brings everything that series has to the table through his moves!

If this trash were to be true I'd be more enraged about the disgrace of Ridley not being playable. And Kirby having three characters... then again, Sakurai does have a crush on Kirby so I wouldn't be surprised.
Pit was a good choice. I was also actually very happy when Shiek and Sonic were confirmed.

35 characters? No way. Thats sum BS. There has to be at least close to double the Melee roster.
Take a moment to pause and remember that the melee roster consisted of many clones. I could accept 35 characters if they were all entirely unique!

regardless i'd too want at least 40 characters.
there's 25 confirmed, then you have characters that a shoe-ins Luigi, Jiggs, C. Falcon, Ganon, Ness, and Lucario. Leaving only 4 spots for so many candidates. Wolf, Falco, Roy, Krystal, Marth, Ridley, Mega Man, Geno, and so on. Soccereye would be a fool to ignore half these ppl.

^ Seems the old thread died due to a spontaneous "Star Fox blows balls" outbreak when others heard the possibility of there being so many characters for a series some would argue has fallen even farther than Sonic.
