Right, I have a Philips SNB5600/00 wireless router and a phat DS.

Basically my problem is that I find network, has good connection for about 20 seconds then goes. I get the error code '51300'.

Nintendo says;

The WEP key for the Access Point you are attempting to connect to has changed since you last connected.

What to do:

Verify the Access Point's WEP Key and try again.

If you need assistance, click here and select your router manufacturer and model number. If available, our router pages can provide specific steps and information that may help you with your router's WEP Key.

Thing is the network is public and not blocked by a WEP code so this can't be right....

I'm really lost and need help.
Hah...... try going into the router's settings (find out how, either by a CD or through entering the IP into your browser) and change the broadcast mode to "802.11b Only"

Eh...?

Set settings to 802.11b only. Would that affect other wireless devices because I have my wii running on this wireless and two laptops running on it fine.

Nah, unless you're Internet speeds are over 11Mbit/s (they're not, trust meh)

It won't knock them off or anything. You'll just have to reconnect them (click the yellow bubble that pops up on your desktop). Takes like 0.12156 seconds Smile
before doing that, have you used any other access point? i've had the issue of having to re-connect with my wireless after i set it up with someone else's connection.

have you tried restarting the connection, then reconfigure your wi-fi?
*Is really confused*

My two laptops aren't permanently connected to the wireless, they just pick it up when they want...

I haven't connected anywhere else...

Should I consent parent when doing this or just do it because I don't want to end up screwing over broadband or the router?
