I just read on IGN.com's big old FAQ that there are no rankings on Wi-Fi! What gives? I mean, it is fun to just mess around and play random people in Smash, but we do not even get a list of wins and losses? I am not liking that at all. I hope this is being addressed or was addressed or is in the process. How do you distinguish good players from bad players if no individual achievements are being honored?
I think there will be wins and losses but no sort of leaderboards.
And thusly, some protection for my ego.
You won't. Unless you attend tournaments and play the good Smashers.
Wow, OLD news. REALLY old.
Wow, OLD news. REALLY old.
hey, all of us can't sit on gamespot all day...
This was posted on September 18th 2007 in the original post confirming Wi-Fi capabilities:
Your opponent will not know your name or any information about you, and neither of you can send short messages. There will also be no battle records kept for this mode, so whether you win or lose, it doesn’t matter. Just sit back and play.
Last I checked this wasn't gamespot.
There is a wiiloaded solution in the works, btw

Leaderboards are a joke anyway; on Xbox Live someone always finds a way to exploit them and keep their name on the top.
Smashboards is apparently in bed with WiFi Wars to organise something. Keep your eyes on Smashboards for an announcement.
"Attention! We'd like to report this: we have the clap!"
Sorry, I mean, with the whole in bed metaphor and... nevermind
