tonite's episode was a 'pop-up' version of the season 3 cliffhanger with info running along the bottom...not much new here
tommorrow kicks off with another recap episode and then the long awaited season premiere and first of 8 new episode all filmed before the writer's strike...

Yeah, I've been dying waiting for the new season. I'm gonna rewatch the last two episodes of the last season to get pumped up for it. can't wait!!!!!!

I can't believe I forgot to post here after I saw the first episode. I really enjoyed the episode and I wanted more, much more. I felt cheated a bit because I didn't get as much as I'd like to but being a LOST fan I'm used to that. This isn't a show for people who like shows to get to the point. I can't wait for the next episode in a couple of days!
me neither, such a great episode, so many questions:
1. did you notice jacob (the guy in the cabin) looked like christian sheperd (jacks dad) this time, not sure what that means
2. and what did naomi mean when she said tell my sister i love her, was that a code or is she related to one of the losties
3. so hurley wanted to go back to the island but jack said never, but we know from the finale he is desperate to get back, what changed his mind?
4. who are the other 3 of the oceanic 6? we know hurley jack and kate...i am thinking sun, jin, and maybe aaron (claires kid) that would mean claire dies though
5. who are the freighters working for and what do they want?

Yep, I thought it looked like his dad too. Two of the other six are Jin and Sun. The rest I'd like to know too.

Yes, they do. I read it from a spoiler that tends to be right almost all of the time. We'll find out soon enough though. Just a couple more days! We'll we may not find out in the next episode but I still can't wait for it.

There's a rumor that it's Michael. I dunno about that but I loved this episode so much. Each time it builds up and then I see LOST on the screen and almost die because the episode is over. Honestly the first two episodes have been amazing and I like where this season is going. I can't believe it's so good this season. I really loves the multi-flashforwards/flashbacks as well. It was something new and different.

But yeah...the spy is prolly Michael. The actor who plays Michael is set to return to the show...so...it's very possible.

Yeah, I thought that episode was nice and the last episode was also great. I have to say that I loved every episode this season! While looking around on another site I came across someone mentioning their theory on LOST and it looks pretty plausible. I'm putting it in spoiler brackets just in case you don't want to be possibly spoiled. Not sure if it's true but it's possible so far so YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

I would agree with freaduib that Micheal is Bens contact on the freighter. He was given a boat by Ben to leave the island, however Ben would never let someone leave, unless they were doing something to protect the island.
Flight 815 went misisng in the present, but the plane was never found because Desmond made it crash on the island, which is in some sort of time warp.
The island isnt present day, its years behind present day which explains why Rose doesnt have cancer, lock can walk etc.
Everyone is existing on the island before they had their accidents/life changing problems.
Charles Widmore is the Enemy. Ben is a good guy (maybe). If Widmore gets the islands power (whatever it is) then the future will alter. Widmore will kill everyone on the island except for the oceanic 6 (they manage to escape to present day and use the media as cover/protection from widmore). The Oceanic 6 know about the time warp (or whatever it is) and need to get back to the island in order to prevent widmore killing the losties... Think "Back to the Future"........ this is making my head hurt time to stop trying to work out the plot of lost :O)
