Did you ever wonder about those pesky wii remotes that automaticly connect, but don't shut off until you turn off the console? Well I came across this little piece of information that will turn those extra wii remotes off.

1. Hit the ‘Home’ Button
2. Press “Wii Remote Settings” down at the bottom of the screen
3. Press the “Reconnect” button
4. Hold down 1 and 2 on the controller you wish to be ON
5. After it connects (you can tell by there being a battery that is ‘lit’ at the bottom of the screen), hit ‘B’ to exit out
6. Press “Close Wii Remote Settings”
7. Hit the ‘Home’ button or press “Close” at the top of the screen

And that should fix it!!! Only press the 1 and 2 buttons for the remotes that you want ON. This isn't very important but kinda interesting.
Thanks ZeldaFan. That's useful information. Smile

Do you know what I always do which is annoying? I always knock my spare wii remote over which turns it on, so I'm always wasting battery by doing that.
Yeah, this might help for that. What happens to me is that I will press A on a remote, and it automaticlly goes to player two sometimes!!! That gets on my nerves!!!
I just take out the battery.
Everytime???

That was one of the most annoying things about my Wii. Lol

Hahaha, not a good idea mein Canadian friend... I used to do that until one time when I was 60% through a COD3 map and it wouldn't reconnect.

ohhh thats gotta stink
I knew about that already thx though.
I used to do what Cloud does but now with GH3 thats a hassle so i just dont even bother turning it off.

I have done this sooooooooooooo many times, accidentally hitting the button on one of the other Wiimotes while getting a game, memory card, or whatnot out of the draw.

This is what I normally do to correct the problem. I just open the back, half-way pop out one of the batteries and then pop it back in.

It works that many times.

And I do what Mana does.
