I was wondering if the PS3 supported Consumer Electronics Control channel. I've been looking everywhere, and I haven't found any info on it. It's would be really out that a device built around HDMI 1.3+ would not have this featured enabled.
nah, it's not enabled.
but it's not for the xbox 360 either
perhaps a patch in the future?

My thought was that since the PS3 was built around HDMI 1.3, and since version 1.3 has an updated list of CEC commands...I wondered if having a HDMI 1.3 a cable might do the trick.
It doesn't really surprise me that the 360 wouldn't have CEC, simply because the HDMI support has been just recent and seemed to be more of an after thought.
Yeah, the PS3 is 1.3
but HDMI-CEC is optional, so I guess they saved a bit of time and didn't implement it. but as I said, there is probably nothing stopping a patch to enable it.
