Wii Fit Takes #1 Four Weeks Straight
Just like Nintendo made a series of "Brain Training" games on the ds, Nintendo is looking to make the same thing happen with the wii with fitness games. Since its December 1st launch, Wii Fit has rocked the charts in Japan, ranking the #1 selling game for four weeks straight selling 1,283,000 units. Wii Fit hit 1 million units sold in the middle of December and has no signs of slowing down.
Last week in an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto he explained that if Wii Fit selled well around the globe, Nintendo would definitly look into developing new games that utilize the Wii Balance Board.
It'll be interesting to see if the sales across the globe mimick those in Japan.
