You can't even begin to compare them.
But, by the theory of FF7, the game with the more impossible to understand storyline is the best-- therefore, "Mmm Chrono Cross" is how it shall remain.

I've never played a kingdom hearts game. Are they really that good?

They are pretty good. I've definitely enjoyed them more than Square's Final Fantasy attempts.

Basically, if you own a PS2 and haven't played Kingdom Hearts 1 or 2, it would be a big shame. They're just that good.

I remember when I got KH1 didn't like it.

I loved it instantly. I spent like 90 hours on the tutorial island, mastering the three fights, prancing around all "I can beat these guys without actually hitting them lololol."

LOL. I pwned Sephiroth like there was no tomorrow.
I was so good at that game when I got into it. All people level 100, All Ultima weapons, best equipments.
My friend couldn't beat Ice Titan. I came over. Beat the smeg out of that Titan.
My cousin couldn't beat Sephiroth. I came over. Made him look like a weak girl after 3 tries. XD
I beat sephiroth at least 100 times..to get level ups.

I took down Sephy at lvl 84 with the Ultima Weapon... but I had to read an FAQ to get past whatever that attack was called that reduced health to one before he swung his 90 foot sword that would kill you from anywhere he was.
But I'm definitely not one of those dudes that beats him at "level 1 with the caster keyblade no magicks not pots."
I'm not even going to say, "It's cos I have a life lol!" I'll just never be remotely that good at anything I ever do. haha

The techs you gotta have to kill sephiroth is.
When you get hit your magic goes up.
THEN USE CURAGA!!! lol.
In Kh2 it was so much harder.. But then I could have killed Sephy so easily, but I had Berserk on, and I did a never ending combo, which didn't kill him..it was sad.
