I'm a mid-core gamer, with a strogner lean to hardcore because I don't like the majority casual title outs

I guess I'm the only person here who still considers him or herself a hardcore gamer? *sigh*

Seriously, though, I def still fall under the hardcore label with that definition thrown in the mix--hell, I usually play upwards of 8 hours a day with my bizarre schedule at present (one class, one night a week, currently jobless) and I'm usually only awake for like 10-12 hours

How do you afford to live that extravagant lifestyle?

So is everyone here except for hnb a mid-core, then?

Yeah, not everyone here but the majority is easily mid-core according to the definition. I guess I have to complain about Nintendo not making enough games for the mid-core audience now.

That, and I sell LOTS of stuff on eBay--I go to a Goodwill outlet by my house that sells stuff by the pound, get old toys, and sell them. Recently, a My Little Pony sold for about $45, and a Pez dispenser sold for, get this, $97!

I love TimeSplitters, it's my all time favorite FPS. But i'm not finished it, oh no, some of those challenges are freaking hard!

So yea, i'm mid-core.

Maybe I shoulda read the post before I voted. I'm definitely mid-core. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Depends.

yeah i think midcore would definately describe me. like if I could, i'd play games 24/7, but when im playing i dont care about getting highscores, being the best, etc. I just play for fun.

Compulsively checking GameTrailers all the time is an example...Hell that site distracts me from games.

Anyone would label me as a hard-core gamer, but I hate that. Does someone who goes to the movies all the time a hard-core moviegoer? Why can't we just enjoy our hobby without people who don't play harrasing us and alienating us from the average population?

Video games are a hobby, just like playing music and sports.

I'm hardcore. If I get a game, I will finish it, most of the time 100%. From Final Fantasy VII all the way back to Super Metroid. Finishing games 100% is a truly awesome accomplishment. To truly "clock" a game.

But I don't mind mid-core gamers. I just prefer not to play mini-games. I like full games, games that will last between 20-40 hours alone.

(Adding FF and KH means games that last 50+ hours)

From that description I'd classify myself as mid-core also.
