After recent rumours about a Gears of War sequel have been flying in from left right and centre, fans are left no knowing what to believe. The latest rumour for Gears 2 is that it is possibly a work in progress and under current development. This is great news for those of you who love to play Gears, but the sequel may not be happening as soon as fans are expecting.

Gamers are hoping for some hot titles to be revealed at GDC this year, but due to the convention being strictly developers only, it will be a little harder for Gears fans to find out the juicy details. That is, whether there are going to be any juicy details.

Along with fellow developers from all around the world, Epic Games are sure to be joining 2008's GDC; being likely to reveal current projects, such as a Gears sequel. However, fans are not to be expecting a release date or even any gameplay being showcased by Epic. Apparantly, the most that's expected about Gears 2 from Epic is a brief trailer lasting no longer than half a minute. And I doubt that this is going to create much of a discussion during the conference.

So, it seems that there is going to be a fairly long wait ahead for 360 owners. At least we all still love the Gears we've got now. So it's worth the wait right?

Even though Gears is my favourite 360 game, I don't care. I'm still enjoying the original so much. Smile

It will be worth the wait.
I agree. Gears wouldn't even need a sequel to remain popular because it's still one of the best 360 games around and it's been out for a long while now. Although still, seeing a sequel would be awesome! Smile
