if in doubt... AT LEAST watch the mini series that was released before the actual season. its about 2hrs long and sets the premise

BSG to me is kinda meh. I loved the original series though.

Battle star is unique...great story.

it doesn't hold back on the political and social pokes either lot of nicely placed similarities thrown in there

Never got into BSG... never will get into it for lack of interest. Good on you to those who did though.
