Guitar Hero: Aerosmith

Those of you who love Aerosmith might faint at the sight of this news. Activision just announced the the next Guitar Hero game will be centered around Aerosmith. The release date set for GH: Aerosmith is June 30. This might be great for die-hard Aerosmith fans, but for others who could give or take the band, this game could leave us a little bit jaded.
Currently, there is Guitar Hero 1, 2, and 3 out, plus Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s. Soon to be added to the Guitar Hero family is Guitar Hero 4, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, and Guitar Hero: On Tour. Is anyone else feeling a Guitar Hero overload with the new coming Guitar Hero: Aerosmith and other additons? Now, if there was a Guitar Hero: The Beatles, I might consider, but after just buying Guitar Hero 3 for Wii, I won't buy GH4 or probably GH:Aerosmith. Will Guitar Hero now turn into a Mario Party with the same old same old for each new addition?

Hah... Aerosmith... hah...
I'm taking it you don't like aerosmith?
Last time I checked Activison =/= EA.
Oh well, I can say without a doubt that I won't buy any of them, unless there was a massive change.
Activsion appear to becoming another EA. Soon they'll flood us with so many GH games that it'll die. Sad really, because I liked the first couple of games.
The rumor out now is that this game will also have drums and a mic like Rock Star. Well, if you read the description of the game then it should have actually. Maybe testing out GH4 mechanics before it comes out? I like Aerosmith but I still would rather have variety than one band...
The fact that it's one band only is mind boggling. Why would you do that, unless Aerosmith were paying you a whole lot of money. And with the steps forward that Rock Band took there's no doubt Activision will one day release a Guitar Hero or whatever they're going to call it that will use a mic and drums or more.
Yeah, this is just stupid.
This really IS the WORST idea EVER!... Is Guitar Hero's target audience 40? NO! It's a 12 to 24 demographic, so why not go with a band that doesn't require offering free 10 day Viagra and Procede trials to move copies.
The drums and singing are just pointless. If fans wanted to do all these things then they can just play Rock Band. Anyway, isn't the point of a Guitar Hero game to play the guitar?
Why would you do that, unless Aerosmith were paying you a whole lot of money.
Try the other way around dude...
Well I just don't see the point of paying Aerosmith so that you can limit the scope of your existing franchise. It seems more like an expansion pack that was just too big to release entirely as downloadable content, really.
As much as I like Aerosmith.. I don't think this is going to be good.
Why so many Guitar Heros??? Ill just wait for GH4.
I'd much rather have had this as a downloadable pack as well. I don't know though, the more I think about it the more I wish it were GH: G 'N' R!
Yes it should definitely be downloadable. One of the main things I love about Guitar Hero is the large variety of songs from a large range of bands. Unless your a gamer and a huge Aerosmith fan, I don't think this will become anything special.
The only ones I'd consider buying for $50 would be Guitar Hero Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Beatles. But at that point I should really just give up and learn how to play.
I love Aerosmith!!! They are my favorite band ever, narrowly beating out he Barenaked Ladies. (It's a wide margin actually, but pretty close compared to other bands.)
If you look it up on Wikipedia, it actually sounds pretty cool. You follow their 30+ year career, from high school onward.
The only problem is that the free download of "Dream On" isn't on the Wii because Wii doesn't like downloadable content.
And about all the spin-offs and stuff, while their is something to be said about only paying for the songs you want, if the songs follow an iTunes-esque 99 cents per game, paying 50 bucks for about 70 songs is kind of a bargain.
I'm just throwing this out, but wouldn't a Beatles game be kind of lame? I mean, the whole thing about Guitar Hero is the hard-rock atmosphere, and the Beatles are definitely not hard-rock. Their songs are awefully repetitive too. I could write a song with 10 words in it too.
