Wii Fit may already be a smash hit in Japan but up until now Wii owners outside the island nation were left in the dark on when the exergame would hit their shores. A brief report in the Wall Street Journal states that Nintendo is preparing to release the game in North America on May 19th. They also mention that Nintendo's WiiWare service will hit May 12th, however it is not clear for which regions this date is set. Makes of WiiWare games will not require any sort of approval from Nintendo to distribute their game, however they will need to have their game rated by an industry rating system such as the ESRB.

It seems that European gamers will be getting Wii Fit before N.America then:
"The European release date for Wii Fit is confirmed for April 25th (almost a month before the American launch). Join in on the love, Europe!"
That's what NintendoWiiFanboy said anyway. I thought N.America would have got Wii Fit first.

We didn't bother waiting for Nintendo, we made our own.
Wii Fit might not be that bad. What I'm excited about is the potental for the balance board. So many great games could take advantage of that technology.
Cant wait for WiiWare. Dont care about Wii Sh*t.....i mean Wii Fit.
