Ever since the release of the Nintendo Wii over one year ago, people have gone wild over that little white remote. When I say wild, I really mean it. A perfect example right here: so you're swinging back and forth to score that perfect home run, then bang! The Wii remote slips from your hand and launches through the air and into your 42-inch wide screen television. Sound familiar? Well since the start of Wii, Nintendo have really stressed that you must take care while playing, but does anyone listen? Even today we hear of people flinging their remote into their cat's face, or through their window. Most recently Nintendo have yet again released a statement that pushes people to take some care while playing.

"The Jacket is a durable, silicone cover for the Wii Remote that provides additional protection if the Wii Remote is accidentally thrown or dropped during game play. The Wii Remote is perfectly safe when used as instructed: use a firm grip, don’t let go, use the wrist strap and make sure the game-play area has ample open space. As when beginning any new physical activity, it’s best to pace yourself and not overdo it. Some games, including Wii Sports, include in-game reminders for players to take a break every now and then." - Anka Dolecki, Nintendo of America’s director of public relations

So in a nutshell; keep a nice grip on the Wii remote, be sure that you are wearing the wrist strap at all times, make enough room for you to flail your arms. Oh and if you have any cats, I suggest you remove them from the room for extra safety.

I seriously can not believe people actually lose their grip on their controllers. It's sounds so retarded to me. XD
I can't believe people get that out of hand with controllers. My heart goes out to that cat though.
I didn't actually know that image excisted. But since my article included cats, I thought I would google it. I guess I got lucky. Poor cat. Toungue
LOL at the cat's face! Nahhh, only joking, it doesn't look to happy though. I've nevee flung my Wii remote or anything. On our last day of school before the summer last year though, my friend brought his Wii into school. 12 of us played multiplayer Warioware and I ended up hitting my friend in the face with my remote though; on accident of course. Toungue
Wow, poor cat, I like cats.

That guy looks like Larry The Cable Guy, funny, Get R Fixed.
